I'm not usually a fan of fabric carriers for cats, but I needed a top loader in a hurry. It was better than I expected...sturdy and convenient. I took off a star because the description said for 20lbs+ (my cat is 21 lbs) but on arrival, the instructions said not to exceed 18 lbs. But close enough, and I figured I could support the bottom, and I was only using it to get from the house to the car. It served the purpose. I did add a towel to make it a bit softer, and in case there were any accidents. I dislike fabric carriers in general, as I have had cats get claws stuck if they paw at it, and once had an unfixed male pee in one (an "I'm scared" pee...on the way to the vet to get fixed). I just threw that one out. 😐 My 21 lb cat just barely fit in this one, but we managed. The top loader makes a world of difference, esp for a vet visit, and I didn't need to take out a 2nd mortgage for this one. Esp since I only need it for vet visits or taking home a rescue, this works fine. I took off a star because of the weight discrepancy in the description. ... show more

I have a 12 pound cat. She’s pretty stocky this carrier allows her to move freely within. If you’re looking for a bigger carrier but light wave this is the one. The carrier comes with a Caring strap It has a front pocket to put like treats leash etc. in it. It has a platform that is fleece lined for accountability for your animal. The carrier could open up at the top to allow easier access for your animal in and out. It also opens on the side to allow your animal to freely come out when it feels it’s at the right time. We traveled with her cat for about almost 1000 miles The cat was somewhat stressed anyways but felt very comfortable like it was at home It’s a a must to get if you’re looking for a decent size carrier. ... show more

My cat hates rides in the car, very vocal about it! So I decided to try this carrier instead of his hard plastic one. He was so much better on his trip to the vet in this one. I think because he could see out and it was softer. Would have rated it higher but just used it once so far.
