  • Works great
My cat unfortunately outgrew this quickly but it held up very well for the short time we used it.

  • Great Comfort and Quality!!
The media could not be loaded. So I purchased this particular bubble backpack for several reasons. First reason is I wanted my 10 month old kitten (Tempest) to be able to see all around him. Instead of just a little window. Second reason is that the back of the backpack expands out for more room. I wanted to wait until I was able to really test it out before leaving a review. The color of the backpack matches my boy's harness and leash (as I am trying to keep stuff color coordinated) and is a beautiful color. It very closely matches the pictures. The price is amazing for the sturdiness and durability of it as well.... When it first arrived my kitten immediately came up to it and crawled into it. Everytime I take it out he runs up and goes into it. The first week or two I only walked around the house with him as he is young and doesn't know what it is. That and the fact it is currently winter and was an average of -15°. Well today Tempest got his first real trip in it!! I went for a walk to a near by lake and had him in his little vest and leash. He cried for most of the way there, but my younger sister walked behind to comfort him. The video I attached shows how comforting he finds his backpack to be as well as how comfortable he is inside it. He stayed quite warm in it as well. He even napped in it on our way back! When we did get back he kept following me around and looking for it as he wanted to go back out. All in all the comfort of wearing it myself (with the little stinker moving around) was very pleasant. The back of the carrier is cushioned so it feels better for it moving around. The straps are thick and padded as well and has a chest buckle (another reason why I purchased this one), which I find very helpful and supportive. The backpack withstood a lot of snow and the held up great with my kitten inside for the hour walk. I definitely reccomend this if you are looking for something to take your little one out in!!! UPDATE! I was able to take my baby out all summer long last year! He loves his backpack. He feels very uncomfortable and unsafe with strangers around. This backpack is his safe spot. Whenever we run into people on the trail I simply have to set the backpack down with the small side door open and crawls right into it. He fits very well and as you can see in our mountain hike it unfolds to allow space to lay fully out. Ample room and clear view for him. He stayed in the backpack on our kayaking trip until we reached halfway across the lake (away from beach partiers). I was able to easily secure it to the kayak as well. Still highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their cat out with them. ... show more

  • Good carrier but I wish it could be transformed with the pet inside
This carrier is pretty good. It works well for my ferrets but is a bit small for my cats. My smaller cat fits ok, but my big boy can't move or turn around in it. It's a bit hilarious actually (we only tried it once but we got a good chuckle at his expression). It is definitely better suited to smaller pets. I mainly got it for my ferrets so this wasn't really a problem for me. The only thing I would change is that you have to take the animal out to transform it from backpack to the more open back with more room. This is because the only way to extend it is to unzip the back, lay the back cover down, then zip up the extension. It would be nice if the extension was on the outside so you could extend first then unzip the inner part. You would still have to have it partially open and put your hand in, but I think this way would allow for leaving the pet in the carrier while extending as long as you are careful not to allow the pet to escape. All in all though it's a pretty good carrier. ... show more

  • So far, so good.
With our previous cats we used a pretty standard soft carrier that was well reviewed (including by us) until one day we brought the cat home from the vet and the strap just fell apart with kitty in the carrier. No signs of wear, minimal use, etc. Was pretty upsetting but luckily that was our tough kitty, not the one who had cancer and a feeding tube at the time. Made us switch so fast. We then went to a plastic carrier, but honestly even with blankets the cats weren’t fans. With our current cats I actively sought this style out as I’ve seen it and was curious. First animal services loved it. When we picked up our kitty from them, they were gushing over how cool it is. And they were gushing for a reason. If your cat is friendly and not very anxious, you can leave it as is. Besides the clear dome, the mesh sides and airholes also give them places to watch the world from. If they’re anxious, cover it as you would any other carrier. Easy to carry as both a backpack and by the carrying strap and the top of the carrier. We leave it open on our floor and one of our kitties has taken to sleeping in the dome section. If we ever need to travel with both cats, I think we may buy a second carrier. Our second cat is more anxious than the first, so for her we’ll probably go with the same brand but the other style with the smaller dome for more hiding ability for her. *edit* one of our cats peed in it and we couldn’t get the odor out so we replaced it with a similar cheaper carrier and regretted it. First time our cat was in the other brand, he clawed through their mesh, destroying the bag and almost escaping. If you’re debating between this and a cheaper brand, don’t cheap out. ... show more

  • ** PLEASE READ, this is a MUST get **
The media could not be loaded. I was in the same spot you are in. Is it worth the price, will my cat even like it? How heavy is it… all of it. YES worth the price, it’s durable and comfortable for your cat and YOU! Straps are thick and don’t dig into your shoulders like the other brands. This expands into a tunnel, our foster fail kittens loves it. I know this is a little long but I didn’t see any reviews on this that helped me. Once you purchase this, put a blanket or shirt with your scent inside of it on the bottom, put a few treats in it, then leave the side opening unzipped and open, put it down in the room where your cat is in the most. Let your cat get used to it on its own.. we started young at 6weeks old ( we fostered her since she was 4 days old from our local animal shelter) Once you give it a week or so for your cat to get used to it, then start small, wear it around the house with them in it, build that trust. It works! We took it a step further and got stickers and put her name on it because she is a bad Bit#% if you know what I mean. We take this out to target, running small errands, it’s a huge hit at the VET everyone came in to see her in it. In the picture she does have a Apple air tag on. If anymore questions feel free to reach out. This isn’t a paid review, I bought this with my own money, and being a cat mom wanted to help out other. You can also buy a small fan, put it in the pocket for warmer days. I attached photos of our Wren, she was found in the summer heat dying under a tree in Vegas. We saved her life and her siblings. ... show more

  • Great buy for people who want to take their cats along.
Love this bag! My cat still doesn't like getting in but he doesn't mind riding around in it once we are out and about. I should definitely spring for the shade and fan next.

  • Best Carrier!
I bought this for our new kitten, Morticia, so we can transport her around in a less traditional way. She loved it from the moment it was unpackaged. I've also used it to take our other adult cat to the vet. She seems to be more comfortable in this than our old carrier. I believe it's because of the increased visibility. Everybody remarks on it! We dropped off the kitten to get spayed at our local outreach last week. Several of the technicians commented on how it is the best cat carrier. It is versatile in the different ways you can carry it. You can carry it by the handle on top, wear it as a backpack, or lay it flat and carry it cradled. I hadn't though of the last way but that is how she was given back to my by the vet and it kept her more comforted with less jostling. I catch her climbing into it often. ... show more

  • Perfect!
I love this! It's exactly what I was looking for :) Only one of my cats seemed to like it (pretty much what I expected). He absolutely loves it and never wants to get out. I've found him sitting next to it, just staring and waiting for me to take him out. I actually got the backpack because he always wanted to run outside and he was found outside on my porch and under one of the vehicles more than once, so I absolutely had to figure something out. He was getting spooked and escaped his harness/leash on walks, so I knew I had to come up with a solution. This is seriously the best! We took him on a hike at a local park with our dogs and he had a blast, he was so interested in everything he saw! My other cats are more fearful and don't really like it, but I'm working with treats and letting them investigate the backpack on their own. I've also put them in it and just sat outside with them until they seemed more comfortable. I'm definitely making some progress, so fingers crossed! The side pocket is perfect for a pet water bottle, poop bags, the cat leash, and hand sanitizer. So far, the bag seems to be comfortable, sturdy, and durable. I'd highly recommend it! ... show more

  • My cat is a star!
Everyone loved (he has since passed) it when I took my Nemo cat to the vet in this! They called it his little space bubble! I saw a lady with one and knew I had to have it! He loved being able to look out of the full clear window in the front and it made it easy for me to keep a check on him. Once you figure out how to get them in it easily, it's not bad. But for those cats who fight the carrier, there's more room to escape before it's zipped, unlike a top loader. I can carry it on my back like a backpack or use the top handle to carry it like a traditional carrier. I use the top loop to lace the seatbelt through it and lock him in. I also leave it out in the house sometimes for him and the other kitties to play in. The multiple zippers allow for different configurations for play. ... show more

  • Thyme and Rosemary approved
The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent purchase for the price and quality. I was immediately happy with the quality of the canvas material, plexiglass. I have included a video of our two cats investigating and entering the pack within 20 minutes of encountering it. Within 1 hour, it was suitable for naps (see pic). I initially left on the protective cover for the plexiglass and removed it after the pics. Both 4-month-old kittens were able to walk inside, stand up fully and turn around while the backpack and all compartments were fully extended. To go outside, both cats fit inside the closed pack and were able to sit upright to look around. As they grow into mature cats, I do not intend to use this for both of them because it would be cramped. I will separate them and carry each in their own carrier since I already have another backpack carrier. I really love all of the zippers that allow many configurations of compartments and possible ways to remove a cat that is being...a cat. My ONLY area of concern is the mesh fabric that is used for the extended back area. It is very lightweight and I will not leave any fiesty cats in there for prolonged periods ... show more

  • Use this for my mini chickens
This is a great carrier that I use for my mini-chickens to take them hiking and to to beach. The clear plastic bubble in the front is cool looking but also kind of hot for them especially in the car. Also they peck on it because they dont understand why they cant walk through the clear plastic. So if I bought another one I would buy one with a mesh front. Overall its a superneato backpack pet carrier and I love the expanding back mesh. ... show more

  • Great carrier
Bought this for my newest kitten I adopted from a hording situation at work. I work in Veterinary Medicine and I absolutely love this carrier. My little one was spayed and she's got so much energy and having the back part open up has been a lifesaver keeping her from running and jumping. She sleeps so well in it and loves to go on adventures on my back. I've gotten a lot of compliments and questions on where I got this bag. 10 out of 10 recommend ... show more
