This is a replacement for one we had, not sure if it is the same brand but it is a simple product and does the job. The only issue was the supplied screws were a tad too small and would not actually tighten. I reused the screws from my broken one and it works just fine.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to purchase these. They make cleaning the filter basket so much easier. You don’t have to touch the stuff inside either. They were super easy to is install and seem like they will last a long time. You can it see them once they are installed until you lift the skimmer cover so they are not noticeable at all. We have standard skimmer baskets and it fit perfectly.

I am so glad I came across this item as it has made a huge difference when cleaning the filter basket. My dad’s pool has several trees that drop a ton of leaves in the fall and the basket gets filled up quickly. Using this prevents me from having to stick my hand down into the unknown, find the handle, and pull the basket out. It also makes it easier to get the basket out without the need to turn the pump off. Plus, i know longer have to crouch down to pull it out, i only gave it 4 stars because the screws didn’t secure it tightly and one even came off. To solve that issue, I used zip ties to secure it and that did the trick. Definitely a life changer when cleaning out the filter basket.

The screws that secure the handle to the bottom of the basked are either undersized or the plastic handle assembly hole is too large and one of them striped out. The other was loose as well. I'll have to go to HD and get a larger stainless screw and try to repair it. I'd return it but it looks like a design flaw and besides I'm a week past the 30 day window.

The concept for this pool handle attached to a skimmer basket is a good one. I am 79 years old and do not bend very well, so I was attracted to this product. After I received a new skimmer basket I endeavored to put the parts together. The Skimmer Basket which I purchased had a thick round weight in the bottom. That presented a problem because the screws provided were not long enough to go through the bottom of the skimmer basket and the weight. As it happened even if the skimmer basket did not have the extra thickness in the base, the screws were not Large enough in diameter to bite into the channels at the bottom of the long handle. I, therefore, had two problems: I need a longer screws to get through the thickened base of the basket. After obtaining the longer screws I found that the channel into which the screws connected was too wide for the screws provided or the ones that I obtained. I made the channels into which the screws were to be turned smaller by installing glue soaked toothpicks. After that the longer screws worked. It still did not look like those two screws alone would be sufficient as sometimes I have a heavy accumulation of leaves etc and the skimmer basket. I therefore used the two screws provided with the handle. I drilled two more holes in the bottom of the basket and used those screws to further attach the handle. I do not understand why the manufacturer would provide improper screws for the install.
