As a sofa, this piece looks a bit odd from the side and from the back views, but the fit, comfort of the mattress, safety and functionality more than make up for this. It's easy to assemble, effortless to convert from sofa to bed and back again. It's a breeze to reposition the back and it offers a stable, comfortable mattress, As a bed, it brings good functionality with the adjustable positioning of the head/back. I love that the metal hardware is covered with a cozy skirt of fabric when the bed is extended. This feature stood out to me and is one of the reasons I chose to spend a few extra dollars on this sofa. I opted for this convertible over a pull-out bed because the length of the mattress on this bed is about six feet long and fits better in my small guest room without the additional foot or so that a regular pull-out sofa bed would require for the same mattress length. Also, the quality of the mattress is better. I recommend a nice, fluffy mattress pad to top this off. The firmness of the mattress is excellent. The Sofa bed is very good. Delivery was a huge disappointment. The driver gave no call, text to alert us of delivery. We heard the truck and opened the garage and went down expecting to talk to the driver for a second. I know the driver saw us, but he looked straight ahead, dropped the item in the driveway in front of the garage, and drove away quickly. Anyone who is older or disabled, or otherwise unable to do heavy lifting, should know that they can expect no help whatsoever with delivery. The sofa bed is very nice so far. Putting arms on each side of the sofa is the only assembly. The bed is firmer than expected, but OK. Would buy again, but I would buy it elsewhere, where the item would be brought into the home. ... show more

the quality is top notch. I wanted to have a guest room without losing my hobby room. With this couch bed I get both. When pulled out as a bed it is a full queen size bed and the serta mattress that is the couch is very comfy. No Complaints. It is on the firm side, but that is how I like it. Took a while, but it's finally here! (houndstooth cushions not included) After strong-arming it through the front door and unboxing it, assembly was a snap! Just lift each side of couch and drop onto the slots on the arms. But the couch is very heavy, about 200 lbs, so I recommend at least one helper for moving and assembly. After assembly, not much to do but relax. The back reclines easily by tilting forward and then back (be sure to leave room for this, or know you'll have to move the couch), then lifting to your preferred angle. Lays flat for sleeping, and the front pulls out and lifts up easily as well, maybe 40 lbs lifting force required for that. To store, lift again and let it go back down. Size is nice, seems about right for a queen bed. Could fit 3 atheletes easily, four might be a bit tight, depending on what position they play. Seat cushion is a bit long for shorter people (I'm about 5'7"), but its fine with the included cushion(s) used as a back pillow. Speaking of, those cushions are about half the width of the houndstooth cushions in the review photo. They're a bit soft, but work well with the couch imo. The couch is plain, which is fine with me -- that's what I wanted. Hopefully the fabric is durable, guess we'll see. If you have animals that attack buttons, maybe plan to cover the couch with a throw or quilt, or look at one without buttons in the cushions. At any rate, I'm very pleased with what I got, it was well worth the ~700 USD. Maybe I could have got better, but I would have probably spent way more. ... show more

Comfortable as a couch and as a bed. Bed is queen size. It is a bit difficult to shove sheets down the sides where the armrests are, but it works. It is very easy to transform it from couch to bed and bed to couch. Very pleased with the value!

I’ve been searching for a sofa for my office for several months. I don’t have a lot of space but was hoping to find a sofa bed that guests can use. The wall is rather narrow (around 80 inches) so I needed the sofa to fit. I was so excited to find this one. It comes in a box with 3 pieces (base and arms). It is much heavier that I imagined. Likely need two people to lift it and put it together. It’s on the firm side but I prefer it that way. You can use it multiple ways (upright, halfway pulled out which is perfect to put your feet up and read a book) or to sleep on (size of a queen bed). ... show more
