    • Possibly the most perfect summer shorts ever
These shorts are PERFECT for warm weather. They are a flattering, just-right length (I am 5'4.5" and they fall above the knee very similarly as shown on the model in the pic). They are lightweight and cool, but have enough substance to the fabric that they maintain a shape. The width of the pant legs is great, slim enough to be flattering, not big and baggy. The waist fits well and is fairly flat and also flattering. All the pockets are a huge bonus. I bought them for hiking since they're advertised as hiking pants, but I wear them just about anytime I wear shorts, they are so comfy and flattering. I do have concerns about how well the fabric would hold up against prickers or anything that I might come across while hiking, I will try to remember to report back if and when I actually use them for hiking, lol, and test that out. I am 5 ft. 4.5 inches, 140 lbs with a bit of a tummy and the size 10 fit perfectly. BE FORWARNED: If you buy a darkish or similar color to the color shown on the model, (which is the color I got ), if you get water drops on it it may look like a stain until it dries, similar to some types of rayon. I absolutely love these shorts. I have several in different colors. They are very comfortable with the right amount of stretch. The fit is as described. The quality of the fabric is superb and washes well.

I normally wear a size 10 and the 10 is a bit big, but I'm ok with that because I like my clothes somewhat loose. If you like a tighter fit you might want to order a size down, especially since the fabric is stretchy. The thin, stretchy fabric is quite comfortable but it seems thick enough to be durable. The finish quality is good. I'm 5'5" and the bottoms hit a lot closer to my knees than they do in the picture, but the model is probably 5'10", so that's more about my being short than about the design. Overall I am very pleased with them. I am devoted to pockets, so if they are important to you, hopefully my descriptions will help. The bottom line is that these shorts have decent pockets, much better than in many women's shorts. The front pockets are nice-size mesh bags and are deep enough to hold an iPhone 6S without it sticking out over the top. I'd rate them a B+ --- they could be a bit better but they could be a lot worse, too. The side cargo pocket is stitched (not a bag) and closes at the top with a small velcro rectangle (no flap). An iPhone 6S fits in it and doesn't disturb the line of the pants much so it looks okay in there, but it sticks out slightly over the top and blocks the velcro from securing it closed, so it could slide out when you sit down. When walking with the iPhone in the cargo pocket, it's weight along with the stretchiness of the fabric means it flops around and back and forth, which would be slightly annoying if you were walking with it in there for any length of time. There are two stitched rear pockets which also close with velcro using a narrow fold-over flap. The iPhone 6S will fit and the velcro flap will close over it, but since the rear pockets are stitched instead of bags, it looks chunky and funky. I'd put flat cards or paper in the rear ones but not anything else. ... show more

I love how light they feel and the length is great for those of us trying to hide cellulite that comes with aging. It says these run small but I'm not seeing that as an issue. I liked the style, size, and length of these shorts. I think they could be really comfortable but the fabric was just a little yucky. They felt like a weird stretchy silky polyester that kind of swished around my thighs and I just didn't care for that. There's a lot of stretch and the pockets have mesh in them; I imagine they could be pretty cool for warm weather activities. They are very modest in length which is nice for older ladies like me.     • Very good shorts - loose at waist
They are a great fabric and very well made. So I definitely recommend them. I felt buyers should know these shorts seem as if they are cut for a, um, typical American woman who typically does not have a flat stomach. Mine is a little round turning 50 yrs, but these are still loose. Need a belt or they slide down a few inches. Would not slide off, but would be uncomfortably low without a belt. Perhaps the designers decided they can please more people being on the loose side than cut for the slender side... bc ya know... belts! And for many people they will be pleased with the extra room. [I'm 5/8", 140 lbs, very average (slightly squishy) figure, and the size 8 fits great in the hips, nice modest length, about 1.5 inches too much fabric at waist..] Hope that helps! I love these! I am 5'6 and 155 pds . I bought them in a size 8, I usually wear a size 6. They fit a little loose but they are comfortable. So I would suggest going with your regular size. The material does have some stretch, not a whole lot.Great length for uniform shorts or work.
