I researched these saunas for months. I really wanted a more expensive one but was afraid to spend the money. Picked this one to start with and I love it. Its perfect, I picked the soft grey one. I use it almost everyday. I bought it 3 months ago and no issues so far. Im petite so I don't use the chair. It comes with a foam floor mat and I put 2 towels on top and its comfortable. Because im all in, i get super hot and sweat all over, even my face drips in sweat! I used the foot mat twice. I noticed both times i did, the sauna shut itself off after a short time. Since I don't need it, I never turn it on. Its hot enough without it. I always unplug it after each use after reading other reviews. I prefer to use it on my back porch because I have wood floors. Overall I am very pleased and worth every penny! Unless this one stops working, I will not replace it. ... show more

Definitely recommended. It has been a year and I love this sauna. I use it 3-5 times a week and it speeds up my recovery tremendously as I do martial arts 2-3 hours a day. I absolutely love my sweat pod. Purchased over a year ago and still use several times a week. It’s 57 minutes just for me. I’m in the pod sweating RIGHT NOW as I type. Let me start by saying I am 6'-1.25" tall. There is little leg room where my knees are almost touching the front. But it is not uncomfortable. I have to slouch a bit. If I don't my shoulders touch the top and its kind of constricting on the neck opening. The chair isn't bad - it is a pop up chair you get at Dicks Sporting Goods and could sit in for a 2 hour game to watch a sporting event and have no issues, even though its on the smaller side. You could easily replace it with something better, if you wanted (that doesn't have arm rests). Outside of that, it works. I get a sweat on like no other, maybe just as good if I am in the sauna at the gym and that is steam. I can't say as far as pain goes, it alleviates my pain, but I do feel good afterwards - I've only used it 4x. I think if you are consistent about it as if you are going to the gym or anything, you can see results based on your need to use it. For me at least though, it makes me dehydrated. The instructions do say drink ~30 mins prior and ~30 mins after to replenish yourself. I drink 32-64oz a day, so that fact that it dehydrates me after one 20-min session is a bit concerning. The steam sauna at the gym did not do this. I think it is because its completely encapsulating in a small space and your body/skin is not breathing as it would be in an open larger space. I've done it with just boxer briefs and lose fit clothing (t-shirt, shorts, briefs) and still dehydrated in either case. The bottom foam cushion I believe is to catch sweat. I don't fold it up when I am done and leave it open as I've used it while watching TV. It dries on its own. I am not sure, if I am going to keep it because I don't quite fit and I'm not sure that each session should be negatively impacting me (this could be the infrared vs steam, even though they both have their pros and cons). The goal is to build a cedar steam sauna in the backyard, but in the interim thought this would be good. ... show more
