  • For tiny homes, with tiny windows, window kit needs to be reduced.
Color: White Size: 8000 BTU
It was easy to install. I used it for a tiny house, and I used a metal sheer (like a big pair of heavy duty scissors) to cut the window kit. The window was only 17 inches wide. It was 99 degrees out when I installed it, and I put the temp on 68 degrees to start off. The 300 sq ft space cooled off almost instantly. Love it. ... show more

  • I apologize for the late response. Your message goes straight to our general inbox
Color: Black Size: 10000 BTU
That’s the opening to every response I have gotten from “Pyle Support” Since I contacted Amazon due to no service manual being included with my Room Air conditioner. With the hot spells we have experienced in California, I decided it was time to get something to cool my room down. I looked at the Portable Air Conditioners here on Amazon. I decided to go with Serenelife SLPAC19B. The unit arrived a few days before it was scheduled to arrive. I removed the packaging and removed the securing tape from the unit. It looks pretty sharp. I brought it into my living room and put it in a good spot to circulate around the room. Before I plugged the unit in I went back to the box and looked for an instruction booklet. The was no instructions. So I contacted Amazon Support. Amazon directed me to the manufacturer’s website. I left a detailed message about no instructions and did the unit need water or filters to change… The basic questions I had before I started trying to use this beautiful Box of cooling. I messaged the manufacturer on July 18. I received my first response on July 22. The customer service person gave me a link to the owners manual (PDF). Which was cool. When i finished reading the owners manual I realized I didn’t get a remote control and a few other items the owner’s manual said came with the unit. So I contacted the customer service rep on July 26, to mention the remote control. On July 30 I get a response from The CS rep asking if i got the link to the manual. I responded yes, I got the link and had looked through the manual… NOT A WORD about the missing remote control. This AC unit was far from cheap and I didn’t get all the parts!!!! The worst part of this experience is the customer service rep knowing i would see what else I was missing never asked or mentioned by the way did you get… I am missing the manual, Remote and a couple other pieces according to the PDF version of the manual. I needless to say have no faith in the company that manufactured this. They have me with a horrible purchasing experience. They do not have a clue about customer service or ensuring customer satisfaction. Don’t give them you money…. Buy from another manufacturer. The AC is not that bad, but my customer satisfaction will stop me from buying another product from this manufacturer. ... show more

  • Many problems. Read on for final thoughts.
Color: White Size: 10000 BTU
This kind of purchase is never an easy one because it’s always expensive and you don’t know what you’re going to get. Even after doing your due diligence and reading a ton of reviews. I already own a Hisense 7000 BTU unit. It cost WAY more than this one and I’m not overly impressed with it. It’s ok. So when I needed another one because I found out the hard way that my new landlord is actually a SLUMLORD, I knew it wouldn’t be another Hisense unit. Here are the cons so far (I just installed it a couple of hours ago): of the two window vent panels that are included, one was broken. Splintered during shipping is my guess. That was a disappointment right out of the box. Be careful lifting the lid off the box. I was doing it by myself and the tape and other packing materials held the unit in place as I lifted up and it ended up sort of crashing down and landed on it’s side, which is a no-no for these portable units. I picked it up immediately, but I wasn’t expecting that to happen, so be careful that this doesn’t happen to you. The window vent piece has NO screen or filter on the end. If you are putting this in a window that has no screen, this could be a potential problem if you have bugs, lizards, birds, or other objects that can find their way into it. Thankfully, my windows have screens and should act as a filter unless a bug finds it’s way inside the screen. I will find out later, I suppose. There are only two window panels and they are both long, IMO. The main one you need to attach the vent piece to is too short and the extender piece is too long. If you have a way to saw the extender, great. I do not. Luckily, the Hisense unit I bought came with three panels, one is very short and I did not use it. It is wider than the Serenelife panels, but I was able to nest them together and once I had the length right, I used Gorilla Tape to hold them together. Not ideal, but it works. I don’t know why they didn’t make the extender panel more adjustable or in two pieces to fit smaller windows. Yes, I measured my window and the description said it would fit, but it doesn’t. This unit does come with the window venting kit, but it does NOT come with foam strips or insulation of any kind. Be sure to order a roll of weather stripping or foam to insulate the gaps where needed. I had some left over from the Hisense unit (that came with it!) and was able to use it with this install. I used Gorilla Tape around the entire panel once I got it in place. Along with the foam, I find this works very well to keep hot air out. There is also a very small gap that exists where the vent tube connects to the window vent panel. I wrapped this bit with shrink wrap and taped it secure. No hot air seeping in! After all of that, I laid a folded towel in the sill for additional insulation from the heat. I’m in FL so the heat and humidity are unrelenting. Now for my final assessment. This little fella boasts 10000 BTUs and kicks butt! I started it on 70° with the fan on high. About 30 mins in, I had to change the fan speed to low and it is freezing in here! So even with all of the issues and cons at the start, I have to say that I’m happy with it. Next will be interesting to see how it effects my utility bill. I’m hoping to run my two portable units more than the POS central AC in this place, which should help lower my bill. The jury is still out on that one. If I could return my Hisense (that is really loud in comparison to this one) and buy another Serenelife unit, I would do it in a heartbeat. I hope this helps those setting out on this expensive journey. Oh, the Hisense does have a two year warranty. This one has a one year warranty. So there’s another big difference. Fingers crossed this one continues to impress and lasts longer than a year! Three stars for all of the cons. Would have been a five star review if not for all of those things. It redeemed a couple because it works - WELL. ... show more

  • Great but a lot of water
Color: Black Size: 10000 BTU
It's great honestly and I haven't run into any issues with it. The way yo empty out the water build up in the ac is a bit confusing, I wish I could fully remove it but we've kinda just poured it out if the machine in the shower. Idk if thats safe but we'll see if it breaks bc of it.
