The Hears have two strong advantages over foam earplugs. They are comfortable to wear for over 10 hours and they leave no microplastics or dirt inside your ear canal. After about four or five hours with foam earplugs, my ears start to itch. I wore these for over 10 hours and I completely forgot about them. They are just much more comfortable. For something that doesn’t go deep into the air canal, it blocks noise quite well. I can still converse clearly, but low frequency hum and bangs are very well blocked out. In an airport lounge, for example, I was able to eat and read in peace, and I was well protected from a dropped metal tray. When someone spoke to me, I could hear them well. I like these hearing protectors. I also use the Hears under my noise cancelling headphones. They fit super comfortably and improve hearing protection. You cannot sleep on your side with the Hears. They don’t hurt, but they do touch the sleeping surface (car or plane seat) and transmit the noise. Also, these have no electronics and do not play sound. Don’t be like me, know what you’re buying. Lastly, the look and feel is very nice. I love to know that only silicone rubber is touching my ears and I don’t have to deal with toxic additives in cheap plastic. ... show more

They’re okay if you want them for sleeping but I want them for every day noise reduction and I feel like they work exactly like some regular headphones. Everything gets slightly muffled but you can still hear everything pretty clear and I want something stronger that cancels loud noises

Been looking for a replacement earplug in case the Loop Quiets are no longer available. These are about the best I've found so far, but they're not so great. They're similar in noise reduction to the Loop Quiets, but they not nearly as comfortable, nor do they fit as well. I struggled to find the proper size from the 4 options included the box. I have no evidence that Loop Quiets are not going to be available, but that's how things have been going since Covid. Just going to buy more Loops and hope they stay in business. ... show more

These have got to be the most overpriced, low quality prices of junk I’ve ever seen. I actually ordered two pair because the first set was missing some of the tips. This is a great example of the power of marketing. Why anyone would pay what they charge for what you really get is beyond me.
