Purchased this to use to clean out my horse water trough. It works extremely well. I often find bits of dirt, bugs, or grass in the water trough and this scoops everything out well. It is hard plastic and I expect it to last a long time. It is more sturdy than the last one I had. So I don't scoop a pool with it but it works well for what I need it for. Any other horse owners out there may find this very handy.

This is much sturdier that our old one purchased at a nearby well-known retailer. The old one, though slightly less costly, was less strong, became torn at the edges, lasted for about a season. We are really enjoying this one; much sturdier and much higher quality than competitors’ wares.

I was going through a standard skimmer net per year, till I found this. Very light weight and durable. I was a little worried it would be too small when I first ordered it, based off of the photos in the description, but this is a good size and exactly what I was looking for in a net. The scoop on the end does a good job at getting leaves and bugs that are on the bottom of the pool. So far after a summer of use it seems like this will last me several summers.

I bought this because of the high reviews and good price. Unfortunately I would return it if I didn't miss the return window. While skimmer appears fine, when using it to skim debris off the surface, the skimmer pushes a small wave of water in front of it. This pushes 50% of the debris on the surface AWAY from the skimmer, so it doesn't get caught in the net. I've watched small leave bits be directly in front of the skimmer, only to get pushed to the side by the water being pushed by the skimmer. My only idea is that the net material is very thick, so it doesn't allow water to go through easily enough. It is unusable for me due to this.
