This 1.25" hose size skimmer is perfect in the above ground pool. It is easy to assemble and install and it keeps the debris from floating to the bottom of the pool. The clamp is easy to adjust to keep the skimmer level and at the height I wanted. Overall if you have a pool you really need a skimmer and this one works so is a good deal for the price.

The clamp broke on the 2nd day. I was able to still make it work but it’s very cheaply made. It does a decent job as a skimmer. Probably about what is expected for the price. Wouldn’t buy again

My only complaint is the fact that the item did not specify that the hose that fits the skimmer is 1 1/4 inch. Most of the above ground pools today are at least 1 1/2 inch hoses. Because of this I could not use it. I could actually attach the 1 1/4 inch hose to the pool intake but this causes my pump to cavitate because it can't get the water it needs through a 1 1/4 inch hose. This would be a great skimmer only if they had gone up in hose size.

I'm using this above ground pool surface skimmer for my own personal use on a portable pool my kids like to use. I like the convenience that the pool skimmer provides me. I feel that the cost of the pool skimmer is very reasonable for the product I received in the time that has saved me in the pool cleaning process. The skimmer is easy to install on many different varieties of pools and is also easy to disassemble for storage. I would say the quality of the pool skimmer could be better, but it's still completing the job with ease. I like the portable pool skimmer is easy to clean. I would highly recommend giving this pool skimmer a try.
