It’s exactly what I ordered and protects fry from the general population. I’m not very good at predicting when my fish are going to give birth, but it does the job when I get a mother in there in time. Easy to pop in to the aquarium when needed and remove when it’s not.

Assemble : East to assemble. The suction was not easy for kids to squeeze to the right place. But good suction power. Size: I have a 5 gallon tank. I bought medium size for my guppies. Unfortunately, every of them stress out. It’s seems a little too small for them. Waterplants won’t help with the very small room. So I put newborn fry in the box. The gaps are too big for newborn guppy fry. They can easily getting out of the box even for a week old fry is too big. They performed fish Houdini escape room to me for a week, I gave up and wait until 2nd week. I ended up using it for the currently 2 week old fry….will keep them until them get big enough to join the adults. Please see the picture for adult female guppies size and 2 week old fry size in the box. The gap is quite big . It’s a nice and sturdy box. Just not so great for my guppies. ... show more

Sturdy, durable, and works as expected. I wish the top had more holes so I could put equipment in (I actually use it to block my heater off from the aquarium). Easy to assemble, you just need to put the suction cups on.

Maybe its better for other fish but just starting breeding guppies and had 3 that were getting bigger so i ordered this in hopes of saving as many fry from being eaten as i could got here relatively quick was happynit came with a few extra items like the feeders and check valve but the hose it comes with is cheap so replaced it because it just kept pinching and not letting air through. When i put the middle part in place once the bubbles started it would start to lightly float so the fish i had in there would try and swim between it woke up 2 days straight hoping to find fry and ended up finding 3 dead fish stuck in between the middle piece and the wall so lost the fish and the fry i was waiting on. The little L piece the tube hooks too eould either pop out with the upgraded tubing or the hose would come off when using the packaged tubing so now you either are frequently putting your hands in the water to try and hook it back up or taking the net and moving the fish from point a to b back to a back to b in sure stressing them out quite a bit. Maybe it works better if you set it up when you set up your tank and make sure everything stays stationary and make sure it works correctly ahead of time i already had the tank set up and didnt want to remove the fish and plants rearrange the filter and heater just to make sure it worked ahead of time, maybe i jusy got a bad one in this case i got a relatively inexpensive one to have a place for the fry to be secure and ended up losing the fish and the fry ... show more
