This is a very quiet heater but is not made for a large room or one where heat can't be confined. Would be great in a home office or bedroom where you can close door to confine heat. We use it under desk at our computer work table. Ok, when I first received this and plugged in the heater, my power cord got really hot and even the prongs were hot enough to burn to the touch. UPDATE; After delaying my return, I decided to give it another try in another outlet. It works amazing!!! I have it under my desk here at home and it keeps my feet nice and warm. It appears, my house outlet was truly the issue. If it wasn't for this heater, I probably wouldn't of ever known. So in a strange way...Thankyou! ... show more

The heater is just okay... heat produced is rather minimal even on high, and does not heat a large area, but will be fine in a smaller room.

These little heaters work great! I bought them so my furnace doesn’t have to work so hard during the polar vortex that’s hit WI. I bought two because they’re fairly inexpensive. I have a 1300 sq ft home and keep them on the main floor. I’ve knocked them over and they did not break. They can be used horizontally or vertically. The heater works well. I wanted a more whole room type heater. It heats well in the area directly in front of it but not a whole room, at least not in a couple of hours. It does not have a safety turn off if knocked over either. If turned on its side it is more stable and less likely to be overturned. I have dogs that are always running and playing so accidental displacement is a concern. ... show more
