  • Cuts beautifully!
****UPDATE**** The sputtering while running, not running, and hard starts are a surprisingly simple fix. During wither storage or transport it seems that the unit was left on its side, this caused the remaining test oil in the motor to find its way to the AIR FILTER. When I finally noticed that my air filter was oil soaked, I cleaned it with a couple drops of dawn dish soap a couple times until no more oil was present. After squeezing out excess water, blowing it with the air compressor, and finishing drying overnight, my mower now starts the FIRST PULL EVERY TIME without even priming. ****ORIGINAL REVIEW**** Arrived a day earlier than expected which was nice. The included oil for initial fill was a nice touch. The deck seems solid overall and the large rear wheels are perfect for my property. That having been said, my initial experience was not without a problem. Started great and ran strong in very deep grass/weeds for about 40 minutes, then it started sputtering like it was low on fuel. It looked like there was still plenty in the tank, but I topped it anyhow. After pulling the cord about 12 consecutive times it finally started again and ran for maybe about 5 minutes before dying and not starting again no matter what I tried. Thankfully, I have good mechanical knowledge. After checking the spark plug I found no problem, the filter was perfectly fine as it should have been. Only next step was to clean the carburetor. After removing and cleaning the carburetor with carb cleaner spray only and reassembly, it took a moment to start, but ran flawlessly afterwards. I'm still not certain that the primer bubble is working as it should since the next day it took a moment to get it started, but once warm it started first pull easily. This is not a problem from Senix, the is a problem from Briggs & Straton. Sad that this is the case as I had higher standards from such a reputable US company. I will be contacting them regarding this Overall, I am happy with my purchase and grateful that it was at such a good price. Also for anyone who has trouble with turning a heavier mower, I feel this is a good option as it isn't too heavy and maneuvers easily. ... show more

  • Very nice lightweight mower
I purchased the Senix gas mower for my quarter acre property. It shipped fast and was packaged securely. Assembly was very simple (no tools needed) and it came with engine oil. The mower started on the 1st pull! I’ve used both the side discharge and mulching. The side discharge is easy to install and remove. Both did very well and didn’t have any issue with grass clumping. The height can easily be adjusted. I cut my lawn around 3”. The mower is very light and easy to maneuver. I am very pleased with my purchase! ... show more

  • A well made lightweight gas lawnmower with good features.
This mower is very easy to assemble and use and comes with the necesssary oil to service for the initial startup. The mower started right up on the first pull and I put it to use right away without any problems. This mower is lightweight but sturdy and performs well in medium to tall grass. I"m very pleased with the quality and ease of starting and would buy again. ... show more

  • String spindle stopped spinning after using for the first 10 minutes.
Size: 22 Inch
It stopped working after 10 minuted. The motor was on and spindle spun, but it would stop spinning when the trim string hit the grass - not big tough grass, it stopped when it hit any grass. On the plus size, it came almost fully assembled - you only have to put in two screws for the handle. It did start really easily. As a small person, I had trouble starting other pull string equipments in the past. It was not too heavy, so it was easy to manuever. But, they really need to fix this defect with the spinning. ... show more

  • Came Already Assembled - Just had to unfold Handle & Add Oil Came Already Assembled - Just had to unfold Handle & Add Oil
What I liked about this Senix 21-inch Gas Push Lawn Mower with 140 cc 4-Cycle Briggs & Stratton Engine is that it came pre-assembled. All I had to do was remove it from the box, unfold the Handle, and add Oil and Gas. You do have to move the pull cord handle up onto the mower handle but this takes about 5 seconds. The Oil comes with the mower and you simply use the entire container because it is sized for the mower. After inspecting blade and adding fluids, I hit the primer 3 times (as instructed) and gave it a pull and the mower started right up. I haven't used it to cut the lawn yet but plan to in a couple days. Once I have had some time mowing, I will probably post an updated review. Note: The pic on the left is the Senix mower and the pic on the right is my old mower which I had for years but is struggling lately. Update on 9/4/2024: I cut my lawn today with the Senix 21-inch Gas Push Lawn Mower and I can say it was a complete joy. I've been cutting Lawns since the age of 8 and I have never pushed a lighter lawn mower that had this much power. My Lawn is ~1/3 Acre and it was able to cut the yard on a single tank of gas; the mower started right up, ran great, and never bogged down. I am so happy with this purchase and hope my future cuts are as enjoyable as this one! ... show more

  • Good mower, poor assembly
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was looking for a Briggs and Stratton gas mower. I don’t need anything fancy; just a reliable gas mower. They replaced the first one they sent. It was assembled wrong at the factory, the height adjustment was blocked out of the gears it is supposed to rest in. I called Amazon and being it was a manufacturing defect; the company sent a replacement. The mower is a non returnable item. Which is too bad because the one they sent is a monster to try to start. Once you get it running, it’s a good mower but I have a feeling that the primer pump isn’t installed correctly. It shouldn’t be that hard to get going. ... show more

  • I expected excessive plastic parts and thats what I got.
My old Murray M22500 is at least 15 years old, and I don't want an electric mower ever, so I thought I'd buy a gas mower before the "greenies" outlaw them everywhere. The Murray was discontinued last year. Honda no longer makes gas mowers. Very few gas options remain. The Senix most closely resembles the Murray. The B&S 500E series 140cc engine is the same. The wheels are very close in diameter on both, though the Senix's wheels are cast in much thinner plastic than the Murray's and the axle is thinner. They are mounted on plastic extensions attached to the metal central portion to which the engine attaches. The blade mounting holes may rule out aftermarket replacements. OVERALL THE SENIX WORKS FINE FOR NOW, but it's 1/3 the quality at 3x the price of the Murray. If the math holds true, this mower should have broken plastic parts within three years. But you just cant find a gasoline mower made completely of metal anymore. I think I'm going to watch lots of videos for lawnmower repair, scavange mower parts at the salvage yard, and rebuild my own mower for a quality mower with standard metal parts and wheels. ... show more

  • Great!
Couldn’t ask for a better push mower! Opened the box, put everything together which they made very easy to do and it did not take long. Put the bottle of oil in and put the gas in and it started immediately with one pull of the string! Been using it for a month now and no issues. You can’t go wrong with a Briggs & Stratton engine. What a good find!! ... show more
