  • Great Mower - Good Customer Service
This is my review after first use of this mower. Assembly was very simple, just had to pull it out of the box and attach the handlebar - except one of the orange knobs was missing the nut that screws onto the bolt so I had to contact customer service before even using the mower. Not a huge deal, I was able to rig it with hardware I had on hand. The 163CC engine is powerful and cuts through thick grass easily with hardly any sputtering. I mowed my back yard which has many obstacles, uneven terrain, sticks and debris - and this mower powered through all of it. The bag captures A LOT of grass - it filled completely before needing to empty it, unlike other mowers where it only fills halfway before throwing grass everywhere. Everything was going great until the self-propel belt came off in the middle of the job and I had to spend about 30 minutes trying to re-spool the belt. Had to loosen a screw on the side of the machine to get the self-propel body to tilt enough to get the belt back around the pulley. Also the foam grip on the handlebar came with splits already in it and looks like it may dry rot and eventually come off - would be nice to have a more durable grip material. I do like the single handle to adjust the deck height and that it can be stored standing up which saves space. I'll update this review once customer service reponds to my missing part inquiry. Update: Senix customer service sent me the correct nut for the orange handlebar knob at no charge and I was able to get it assembled properly. They were out of stock for the foam grips so they offered a 15% discount on my purchase which was very generous. After several mows of my entire yard I am really liking this mower - grass is cut nice and even and there is a clear delineation at the edge of my neighbors' yards. Aside from a few small issues this is a great mower and a big upgrade from my last one. ... show more

  • **3 immediate issues** **3 immediate issues**
Size: 201cc-22inch
**3rd update** view photos for reference. Bolts backed out of handle where it mounts to deck. The most issues I've ever experienced with anything from amazon. Terrible mower. **2nd update** most frustrating purchase on amazon. Cutting get through 2nd cut without drive belt slipping off again, one day left to return and amazon won't allow. BUYER BEWARE **updated review** horrible customer service, unable to fix issues simply, requires warranty use for issues out the box then a 2 week wait. Bought to stand up-of course it leaks gas. First time using, after waiting 2 weeks because it came broken, the drive belt came off. I absolutely recommend NOT purchasing this lawn mower. Front wheel broke immediately. Customer service is slow, inefficient. Waiting for warranty to send new wheels so i can use for the first time, bought my own because it'll probably come in a week before their replacement based off experience so far. I can't recommend for now. ... show more

  • Great mower Great mower
Hello all, I am an owner of this mower purchased on Amazon. The mower was delivered without issue. I unboxed the mower forcing my kid to help me lift out of the box. There was almost zero assembly, I would call it more of Screwing in two hand knobs to create the full handle of the mower. There was a bottle of motor oil with the mower and I knew it was needed to fill the mower with oil. The oil fill has an easy to unscrew hand knob with an integrated dip stick. I ended up using the entire supplied oil to satisfy the fill level on the dip stick. To finish the assembly I set the adjustable handle height to a comfortable level. I am 6 feet plus tall so I used the highest setting. There are three height settings. I think it is worth noting on the mower description, i did not see there was height adjustment for the handle, there is. Now the last assembly need, add gas. Gas in the mower, I pulled the starter cord several times slowly without the intent to start, just to distribute oil to the moving parts and to let the carburetor fill with fuel. One swift pull and the mower roared to life. I adjusted the mower height lever with one hand to raise the mower deck to the highest setting as i was in the peak of the grass growing season when I put this mower into service. This feature of the mower is very worth noting. My previous mower required each of the four wheels to be adjusted independently. This feature is a huge benefit. Off to mowing. The mower works very nice. The rear wheel drive works very well. The bagger works well. I have mowed my lawn twice so far with this mower and have had no problems or issues. I am happy with the performance of this mower. Huge benefit for people with limited storage, this mower realy does store upright with no fuel or oil leaks. I have shoehorned this mower into my over crowded garage. ... show more

  • Cranks easily
Some design issues, but a very good mower overall. The first mower had to be replaced due to the self-propel feature ceasing to work during the second use. The mower manufacturer and/or Amazon were excellent to work with, sending the replacement very quickly. The self-propel function on the second mower has worked great. The engine is gas-efficient. I do like the big wheels on the back. It doesn’t turn on a dime, but I don’t need it to do that. It starts easily. There seems to be a design issue in that the open casing where the cutting blade rotates is too shallow - don’t know how to explain this situation. This is an issue for me when I’m NOT using the bag. THE CUTTING BLADE AREA seems to get clogged somewhat. The mower engine seems too powerful and/or the blade compartment too small in relation to how great this mower actually cuts. At a certain point, the grass starts the pack underneath the mower. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN THE CLIPPINGS BAG IS ATTACHED. I like this mower very much despite its idiosyncrasies. I especially like and appreciate the way the manufacturer managed the original replacement. There have been zero self-propel issues with this mower. It is very durable. I miss my Honda. ... show more

  • Solid machine
Packaged well, super quick shipping. Assembled in a few minutes. Added supplied oil added gasoline and started on first pull. mulch and bagging work great did not use side eject. Self propelled mode works great, definitely a plus. Plenty of power to cut thick grass. It did sputter a few times but I assumed it was the first run and gas was working through the machine. Cuts nice and even. Easy to maneuver when not pulling self propelled handle. It is a solid built machine. The height adjustment feature is awesome I cut a two different heights to test it out. It is heavy getting it out of the box, but worth the grunting when all assembled. So far so good. Will update if any issues arise. ... show more

  • Thankfully I purchased This Over A Riding Lawn Mower
OMG!!! I was considering purchasing a riding lawn mower and I'm so glad I didn't. This beautiful bundle arrived and from previous experience I just took my box cutter to one side of the box and easily rolled it out as opposed to trying to lift it, it's heavy. Briefly looked over the instructions and had it fully assembled in 5 minutes. This is my first self propelled mower in my 54 years of life and I'm kicking myself for not purchasing one sooner. Fill the oil reservoir up with the entire bottle of oil provided and fill with gas and this bad boy started with the first pull. Since I wasn't accustomed to self propelled mowers there was a learning curve but on the cable assembly there is a dial that controls speed. Turn it all the way down and I still felt like I was jogging to keep up with the mower, all my fault though. I was fully engaging the propulsion lever. Only need to apply slight pressure to the lever to get the mower to move and after about 5 minutes I figured this out and mowing my lawn as a pleasure. Being a disabled veteran it was excruciating doing lawn care and finding good help is hard to find to meet my high expectations. I became extremely frustrated hiring people who scalped my grass, didn't weed eat or just was there to collect easy money. This mower is an absolute beast and the levels of adjustment trimmed the top of my grass giving it that well manicured golf course look without an over abundance of grass cliiping and eliminating the need for me to rack and bag the excess. I typically hired guys to come out every 2 weeks for a subpar job afterwards but this mower I wouldn't mind a weekly mow to keep it looking PGA level looking. Not only am I getting outside more but increasing my physical activity feel like a cheat code since this mower is able to pull my 6' 1" and 250 Lb frame around with no problem. Needless to say I am beyond pleased with my purchase and I would definitely do it again and again given the opportunity. I put on my Bose noise cancelling headphones and knocked out the yard work in no time with energy to spare to complete the weed eating and blowing ending up with an immaculate lawn that is definitely the envy of all my neighbors with their burnt, scorched and unpleasant looking yards, lol. Also since my backyard is fenced in and isn't in view of the public I was able to adjust the height to cut it extremely low so maintaining that every 2 weeks won't be a problem allowing me to focus on the curb appeal of my front yard making it a showstopper. I am beyond pleased and look forward to using it again. To my lawn guys,... You're fired! ... show more

  • Worst mower ever.
It worked to mow lawn 5 times and then gave up and died. Amazon doesn’t support and warranties are next to useless. I would not recommend buying anything with an engineer from Amazon. You’ll get ripped off every time.

  • Impressive
I owned a Honda, self-propelled mower and absolutely loved it, until I hit a piece of concrete and destroyed the crank shaft. I didn't want to put out the money for a new Honda, so I did my research, read the reviews and decided on the Senix, 22', self-propelled mower. I live on .25 acre, on a corner property with lots of ups and downs in terrain. The assembly out of the box was a breeze. I'm not a "directions guy," so I winged it and it was pretty common sense, except I had to figure out "the hard way" that you press the long bar and not the self-propelled handle to start the mower! I was immediately impressed by the powerful motor and ease of movement. After only one hour in, I had to cover the foam handle cushions, on either side, with electrical tape. This is really the only negative for the mower and was an easy fix. I was pleasantly surprised at how much this mower cut. We've had a lot of rain this summer and it plowed through wet, heavy grass without my having to make another pass to get a clean cut. You can pay a lot of money for a "name-brand," but this mower cuts every bit as good, moreover, in LESS TIME, than my other mower. Due to wet, and heavy grass, I used the mulching feature in one section and the side discharge for the remaining two thirds. It was a breeze, as I just cut over the clippings on the next pass. I'm very happy with my purchase. It's a great machine at a great price. ... show more
