  • Fixed? Bulbs won't reset multiple times
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: A19
I’ve had a good batch of bulbs. Upgraded to four stars since it took months and multiple returns to get results. The company may have fixed the issue with an update possibly. I’m not certain if trying bulbs in every room triggered an issue. Other people seem to have success in all rooms. I’ve used bulbs in three rooms without an issue consistently for months. I’m very happy with the results. Hoping if I add other rooms I’ll have success. This vintage house using contemporary gadgets is a lot of fun. Like, an echo in every room with bulbs that work make carrying things with two hands simple. In the bathroom a low night light is helpful. Switching to red at night a couple hours prior to sleep helps me relax and snooze quicker. Installing a new fixture and hoping the bulb being added will work 💯. During holidays the sale price is great or for free with an echo. For anyone considering giving these a try or replacing a burnt out bulb. /\ update Updates to replacements have been worked on for two months. Meaning off to UPS several times. The app has an issue with secondary bulbs even if I deleted the original. It shows a bunch of unresponsive bulbs I’d deleted after attempting to install a single bulb. This time around isn't as easy as the first time set up because a list of bulbs shows up on the list. This whole thing has been a bit of a time suck. I like the bulbs when they work. When they stop as they have again I'm stuck with whatever the previous setting was. Red, 50%, etc. I think it's time to retire the bulbs and move on. Super disappointed. I did try with returns on all bulbs (11) and having my doubts only installed a handful to see how they'd work. I've tried everything suggested and in the end, this makes me prefer not to use tech. Though they're great when they work. I've had it with the ‘unresponsive’ messages and time suck. /\ update All the bulbs stopped working. Again. Even though I had reset several they stopped again. 11 bulbs. They're less than a month old. Super disappointed. The remote control bulbs never have this issue. I prefer these when they work. But not the frustration that continues. I've used the brand site and this didn't help. The site has a different method than the Alexa option. But it didn't work at all. The Alexa reset works. But they disconnected again. The night routine is set and once a bulb is reset this way. I left them all on the following evening to see if they’d all turn down. Nope. Nothing. Before they all stopped and wouldn't reset I sent to exchange six using boxes I still had. Super sad this happened. No explanation I could find saying why. If the replacements don't work I'll return them and try to recoup purchases. Many of the single bulbs came with echo during the Christmas time sales. Because the four-pack was already exchanged Amazon required a full return. Still hopeful the returns will work. If not buying more remote from a different brand to add to what I've saved when attempting to replace with these /\ update Here we go again. Every bulb was fine. Then suddenly today. Not. I tried following reset directions. Got a few hooked backups. But the bulbs went down again. It seems to be the Alexa app. Since it said all. But a few worked. Then the reset knees stopped. Then every bulb in the house couldn't be operated on the Alexa app or in the room. I'll try again tomorrow. At this point, I'm beginning to miss my remote-controlled bulbs and manual. I've been trying these for a few months. Was convinced I should add them to the last four spots so from attic to basement and closets. It's been so fun because when I'm going room to room or have stuff in both hands or the dog I just have to ask. I have echo dots in all the music rooms. With a house from 1900, there are limits to tech options. I thought it was genius to leverage these that came with echo dots. If this bulb can not be consistent and causes frustration from random shutdowns and even with reset falls back into despair with dysfunction I will end my misery and revert to the remote control. They're fun, dependable, and are similar in that they change colors and disco out. Imma leaves this at five stars and down to one if this issue doesn't change when I'm following directions to reset or help get these working again. I did return five from a one and five-pack for not working but figured it was the crappy shipping. Light bulbs should NOT be mailed in a bag or lost in the box. Hope this helps you with your choices /\ update Despite a couple of defective bulbs, super easy return and swap. Meaning Amazon sends out the bulbs as soon as I initiated the return replace. Drop at ups and they scan the app pic and boom. Owning a house from 1900 means tech is not as simple as requiring. During the sales in December bough echo dots that came with bulbs for every floor, room. Plus a four pack to cover closets. Now, great sound system and bulbs that are 10 w and don’t always have to be full blast. At night I dig the red. Each room can have bulbs set dimmer or full beam. Amazon, thanks for the bulb inclusion with the echo and the super simple set up. Recommend when ordering click the option to have it linked to your Amazon account. The other option, with the Alexa app, click the plus sign in the upper corner, light, then this brand. Follow directions. Including if you want the bulb grouped with a room. You can always go back and set up a room group. Use the help option to ask for instructions. What’s so cool about the bulbs, in my opinion, is I can be carrying stuff and easily ask for Alexa to turn on the light in said room. No more need for free hand. Renovations to art, dog, deliveries, more. Hands free happy me 😁 If you have tech experience, and or can read directions, ask for help these bulbs can be for you. I read somewhere you need the app for the bulb company. Not in my experience. The Alexa app has every company known to a man listed. You just need to Alexa app and patience if you're new at all this. Cause it can be a bit overwhelming for newbie users. Once you get the hang of things it's easy peasy. Takes about a minute. Then about another 30 seconds to give the bulb the name, you’ll use when talking to Alexa or looking it up on the app. You can operate everything remotely as long as the internet works. When I'm traveling this is an awesome option for making people think I'm at the house. 5 star once things got rolling ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯 /\ update Not sure why but the bulb stopped working. I've had it for a couple of weeks. Bought it connected to echo dot. Suddenly it stopped. It acts like a regular bulb. Just not echo dot functional any longer ⭐️ ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1) Style: A19 - 2700k
This was super easy to set up and a good price. I love not having to get out of bed to turn the lights on or off. I simply tell Alexa to turn it on or off. You can have the light at the percentage you prefer at any time. For example, if I only want a little light, I'll say Alexa, turn on the light to 20%. If I want more I'll tell Alexa to turn it in to 100%, for example. I've bought other smart light bulbs that were not easy to set up, so I'm very pleased with this one. ... show more

  • Not Good if Using more than 12 Lights
Size: 10 Count (Pack of 1) Style: B11
Let me preface this by saying my tech level is extremely advanced, so any tech issues I have with a product are usually product-related and not user error. Setup with these was ok, but they do not detect well and will take multiple tries with Alexa to finally find and install all of them if doing more than 1 or 2 at a time, but I was willing to accept that. I have been working with tech for 30+ years now, so I'm used to back when tech was far more difficult to setup and configure. I started with 12 Sengled Bluetooth bulbs and they worked great. So great that I got another 10, and then the problems began. Tying to install the next 10 took many many tries, then during discovery on one of these multiple attempts, it reset ALL of the Sengled bulbs in the house. So now I had to re-name and re-group my original 12 Sengled bulbs while continuing to fight with the new ones. After way more effort than they are worth, I finally got all 22 Sengled bulbs setup and working. And then the next day, one of them was completely lost to the Alexa app. Just deleted. So no more controlling it. At this point, there is no way I would go through the nightmarish discovery again, and will no longer be using Sengled Bluetooth bulbs. It is worth mentioning that I have 32 Hue bulbs in the house and all are absolutely flawless. Perhaps I should have just gone with the Wifi version of these Sengleds, as I have a solid Asus Tri-band WiFi 6 mesh system that still has plenty of room for more devices, but the Bluetooth were cheaper and I planned on using them in areas where things like scenes, hue wall switches, and the richer Hue colors were not necessary. But after the negative experience I have had with them in terms of maintaining a reliable connection, I will be looking elsewhere for a cheap candelabra Hue alternative simply for budgetary reasons with a total need of 25 candelabra base lights for 2 chandeliers. Also worth noting is that I have 9 echo devices throughout the house, evenly distributed, as is my WiFi mesh system. So it is not an issue with these bulbs being too far to maintain a reliable connection. It is just poor programming within this product for more than a dozen bulbs. So, who SHOULD use these? 1. People who plan on using fewer than 12 MAY have an ok experience, as mine seemed fine until I exceeded that number, and I have seen other reviewers who experienced the same. The color on these is surprisingly good for non-Hue bulbs. 2. People who don't mind the fact that when using Alexa to control them, you can only say specific colors that Alexa recognizes by name via the Alexa App. In other words, no full 16 million color gradient. If you want the full gradient, you can connect them via the Sengled Bluetooth App (Not the Sengled Home App), but you will lose all Alexa/Voice functionality - you can have only one or the other, not both. 3. People who have an outdated WiFi setup, as any pre-WiFi-6 setup is going to give you issues once you exceed 2 dozen or so devices on the network, so its better to throw some Bluetooth bulbs in the mix and reserve your Wifi for devices that truly need it. However, upgrading to a Wifi-6 system would be a better option across the board for anyone looking for better network functionality, especially when there are multiple users on at once, as it tends to be significantly better at distributing bandwidth to give all devices a better experience. Who should NOT use these? Pretty much anyone else, especially if you want more complete control over the bulbs, including 16 million colors, color scenes, or rainbow effects where the bulbs change colors automatically. If you have a WiFi-6 setup, you should just get WiFi bulbs. I don't know how the Sengled WiFi bulbs are, as my experience with these has been poor enough that I will be avoiding Sengled bulbs entirely, but Wifi certainly gives you a lot more brand options in the now flooded color LED smart bulb market. Just avoid any bulbs that can only be controlled with a crappy little remote with no smart functionality at all. You deserve better than that. :) If you have the money, go with Philips Hue. Philips are leaders in lighting beyond just smart bulbs. Their lighting products always tend to be superior to the competition in terms of quality of construction, the quality of the light they emit, the features they offer, and their longevity. I have been using Philips bulbs in my projectors for years, along with the 32 Hue bulbs plus light strips throughout the house, and there really is no comparison to any of the knock-off brands out there. They are well worth the extra cost if you can swing it. But for 25 candelabra base bulbs in 2 chandeliers that do not require scenes or any other advanced features (like syncing the color and flashing of the lights to music/movies via PC), I cannot justify the Hue cost (at $55/bulb!), so my hunt continues, as these Sengled Bluetooth bulbs have failed miserably for me. ... show more

  • These are so fun!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Style: A19
We really enjoy these! We use Alexa to manage shut down in the evening dimming bedside lamps and finally turning it off for those of us who fall asleep in bed. We also use it as part of our notifications for relative next door who may need help turning the lights red at our house in case we missed the alert for help relayed by Alexa. It’s part of the wake up routine as well turning on gradually over 15 min to help us wake! ... show more

This bulb came in a package deal with the Alexa & I'm glad it did because I probably wouldn't of just bought it by itself. It's great to turn the light on & off from the luxury of my bed. Also you can change the light colors from an Alexa command. I will be purchasing more in the future for other rooms. ... show more

I used this light as a porch light. I especially love that I can just set a timer and it come on and off when planned. the first pairing is always a little bit of a pain but it works and does what I want it to. the fact it is dimmable with out a dimmer switch is also a great plus.
