  • Work great with app
Size: 4 Pack Color: Color Changing
These were great with the app, there is a slight Delay 3-5 sec From when you choose your color to win the light responds or to when you turn it on or off and the light responds But otherwise, I enjoy them greatly, and like that I can have a nice soft light in my living room or turn them up to blinding white light lol for when I want to do a puzzle. ... show more

  • Have a dozen in my house.
Size: 4 Pack Color: Color Changing
These are my favorite light bulbs. Easy to set up. I have them with my Alexa device but also can use the Sengled app on my phone. Long lasting and energy saving!

  • A colorful delight
Size: 4 Pack Color: Color Changing
These lights are a breeze to install right out of the box with straightforward directions. They change colors - red, green, blue, purple, white, you name it—and you can even dim them. They pair seamlessly with Alexa Show and Dot devices, so I can command them to turn on, off, change colors, and dim just by speaking, or set them to follow my schedule automatically. However, there were a few times the lights decided to go rogue and disconnect from Alexa, leaving me powerless until I reinstalled them. It's annoying, but aside from that, they're perfect for brightening up my life! ... show more

  • It's hard to make the worst product on the market, but Sengled accomplished it.
Size: 1 Pack Color: Color Changing
I got these bulbs about a year ago. At the time, they worked pretty well. Pairing to the app was a bit of a pain, but after that, they did what I expected - light levels and colors were simple enough to control from Alexa or the app itself, routines worked, it was good. But then, weird things started happening. It was small things at first - bulbs not firing routines like they should, but still responded to manual changes. App reporting "no internet" on my phone, when I clearly had it. Annoyances sure, but nothing that made them unusable. Over time, some of them were starting to randomly flash off and on, without any apparent pattern or cause. This flashing was often reported by other people, but no apparent fix ever came. Then, some update released a little while before this review, and the most miraculous thing happened! All of my Sengled bulbs - every single one, without fail or exception - stopped working. All of them. Bedrooms, offices, living room, every bulb to the last was now mysteriously and permanently unreachable by the app. I figured at first that it surely had to just be the app itself, since Alexa would be able to change them. But, Alexa doesn't see them either anymore. While they turn on (insofar as I switch on the light and they come on that way), they now apparently lost the ability to communicate with anything, making them essentially useless next to a conventional bulb. One might think it was a networking issue, but extensive testing of the wifi clearly showed it working as expected, with every other device in the house able to reach it without issue. In spite of that, I went through the steps to check the bulbs were paired (they were, at first), that they could do their reset routine, every single step suggested by the manufacturer, and a number of steps that weren't but make sense if you're into networking at all. The only thing I can figure is their most recent firmware update must've fried something. There's a sentence I never thought I'd write in my life - "my lightbulb got busted by a firmware update" - but here we are. So now I have a pile of bulbs that don't work. That wouldn't be enough to merit a review on the topic, except it's clear that the manufacturer seems to give no regard to it, if their app reviews are any indication. Just one canned response after another with zero help. Quite a few people in a similar situation. If you'd asked me 6-8 months ago if these were a good deal, I'd say yes. Right now, I'd suggest you avoid them as hard as you can, unless you want to set up a bulb that will instantly destroy itself the minute it updates its firmware. There are tons of other options here on Amazon, and many of them don't have random failures or hardware setup pains like these seem to. Do yourself a favor. Avoid Sengled. Put them down, don't look back, and get something that actually works. ... show more

  • The best (and only) option on the market, but quality has gone down
Size: Premium-1 Pack Color: Color Changing
We have over a dozen Sengled Multicolor A19 Smart LED bulbs, the first batch of which were bought over the summer of 2019. We needed our bulbs to meet the following requirements: Zigbee-based, works with Samsung SmartThings, bright, okay to look at directly, multicolor, and 90 CRI or greater (the installation is in California and 90 CRI is a requirement). Sengled meets all of these specifications and remains one of the only products on the market that does so. However, there are two problems that buyers should know about. The first problem is that this bulb does not function as a Zigbee repeater, so extra engineering is required if you want to use this bulb down a long line of fixtures. Our installation includes a ~120ft hallway from the Samsung SmartThings hub. Without a repeater, the second-furthest bulb operates about 95% of the time, while the furthest bulb operates only about 40% of the time. Sengled justifies this design decision in its FAQ on sengled.com by stating: "Our Element bulbs were designed to be used as Zigbee end devices only. Our engineers made this distinction as repeaters require constant power, but people still tend to power off their bulbs with wall switches when leaving a room. With no power to the repeater, other end devices may disconnect. The fact that our Element bulbs are not repeaters also ensures that your Zigbee Mesh Network doesn't become overcrowded, which would delay any user controls." I would easily pay $5 to $20 extra for a Sengled bulb just to have the repeater feature turned on. However, as of this writing, no Multicolor A19 bulbs act as repeaters. In the SmartThings IDE, they all (2019 and 2020 purchases) report as "zigbeeNodeType: NON_SLEEPY_END_DEVICE". To overcome this problem, we engineered Ikea Trådfri USB Zigbee repeaters into the fixtures, so the whole line of lights works. That may be the subject of a separate review someday. The second problem is that the latest batch of bulbs suffers from occlusions in the lens cap. The photos attached to this review show three separate bulbs with visible blemishes when the light is on. One looks like a bad gash. The other two look like interlocking rings. Of the four A19 bulbs that I bought in the last two months, three bulbs suffer from occlusions serious enough that I cannot use them. The fourth bulb has occlusions but they are light enough to live with. As pointed out, one of the requirements is that the bulb be aesthetically pleasing because they are directly exposed to view, including from below for ceiling-mounted and high wall sconce fixtures. If your fixture has a shade, then this problem will not matter to you. The new packaging in 2020 is printed in color; if you get the packaging that is just brown cardboard with black printing, those bulbs were put together in 2019, and do not have these occlusions. I asked Sengled about this problem, and they wrote back that "These are simply manufacturing variances likely due to the way that the plastic was cooling during manufacturing." That may be true, but none of the 2019 bulbs that I have exhibit this problem. For a $25 product (nearly 25x more than non-smart white-only bulbs), we should expect better quality control. Sengled says that this product is for interior use only, but we have observed no problems in it working reliably outdoors as long as it is enclosed in an outdoor fixture. ... show more

  • I'm a big fan of these lights. We use them all over the house
Size: 4 Pack Color: Color Changing
Replaced the 3 lights in our living room ceiling fan with 3 of these, and then grouped them together in the Alexa app as Living Room Light. Now I can tell my Living Room echo to turn on the light, dim it and change the color. I also use one in our bedroom and in the living room lamps, and they all work great. I have routines defined in Alexa to turn on the lamps at sundown and off at sunrise, and it's really handy. ... show more
