    • Very classy clock with hanging screw and battery included
I was looking for a wall clock for my bedroom pretty long time. I wanted it to be rather modern, going well with any color of the walls. And suddenly it showed up. I could not resist its looks, with a clear convex surface, silver flat dial face and quiet movement. When I took it out of the box (by the way: very good packaging, all corners protected, a screw for hanging included and a battery as well) I was amazed. After looking and looking at it for quite some time I put it on a chair, just for a second. All of a sudden my dog (mini schnauzer) jumped on the chair (read: on the clock). I could hear his claws scratching the glass. Actually this is not a glass, rather plastic or acrylic surface. I thought: "This is the end of my excitement". But there were no scratches. Can you imagine? To keep it short: the clock hangs on my lavender wall (I can see the color of it through the clock) and works without any sound. I love it. After all this I took my dog to the groomer. PS: If I can recommend anything I can say only one thing more: It is better to wait till the clock costs $33 (because it is that cheap from time to time). UPDATE 10-20-2011: When the battery runs out after a year or so, just replace it and you will enjoy the quiet movement of the clock again. Mine was gone after 14 months. ... show more

    • A very beautiful clock for a room
You cannot even hear this clock. I have it in our bedroom, and it does look very nice. I love the automatic movement on this thing. I already have this clock for many years, and it is still functioning perfectly and looks as if I just got it yesterday. Only thing I would have to complain about is that I wish the tone was a little more visible to make it easier to tell time. Also, if there is a lot of lighting in your room, the glass over it emits a haze; I would have wished it were haze free. Overall, good. ... show more

    • Beautiful, accurate, basic clock
This is a beautiful clock. It is mostly plastic, but is quite sturdy. I guess if it were all metal and glass it wouldn't be available at such an attractive price point. Also, because it is mostly plastic it is very light weight. It comes with a battery and wall mounting screw in the box, and is packaged sufficiently to protect it from damage. The bezel has a rough chrome-colored finish and has smooth polished chrome accents at each corner. The clock face is a bit darker, almost a satin nickel, and is surrounded by a see through space. The entire front is covered by a curved clear plastic that does a good job preventing glare. Visibility is also helped by the somewhat darker clock face and the bold black clock hands and numbers/markings (numeral appear only at 3, 6, 9 and 12).     • Beautiful quiet clock
I really like the looks. It is also a good size. The decorative face can make it a little hard to find the hands, but once you get used to it, it is well worth it for how attractive it is. I had a smaller Seiko, they don't offer any more, with a similar look and the quiet mechanism. That is why I sought out this one. Nice that it is bigger than the old one. ... show more
