This timepiece features the beautiful and familiar sounds of Westminster or Whittington quarter-hour and hourly clock chimes. With a volume control, the chimes can be turned up or down. And with a nighttime chime silencer, you won't have to worry about losing any beauty sleep. Framed in glass crystal, the round white dial has a brass accent ring, ornate black hands, and Roman numeral hour markers. Built in the style of a banjo, the intricate gold-tone pendulum hangs between lovely accents on the glass window. This Seiko clock features precise quartz movement.

While I know that Seiko makes quality clocks, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance. The solid oak, fit and finish, is impressive for the price. I'm as fussy as can be on exact time, my other clocks in the house are atomic clocks synched to the precise time. After two days this clock is still dead on where I had set it. Beyond the quality look and construction, the chime sound is top notch. If one was in another room when the clock chimed, you would believe we had a full-sized grandfather clock in the house. For using electronic generated sound, I wouldn't have thought the Westminster chimes would sound so realistic. I do appreciate the auto night silence from 11:00PM until 6:00AM. The one minor downside, and it is rather minor, is the setting of the time. That's done by removing the back plate (easy to do, it just slides out), and turning the time wheel. It's a bit difficult to set the time exactly, put the back plate on, start the pendulum, and hang on the wall, while keeping the time set exact. I was able to do it within +/- ~15 seconds of the exact time. Since so far it was kept very good time not something I'll have to do very often. Tip: make sure you use a level after hanging. If the clock isn't level on the wall the pendulum will not swing evenly and impact time accuracy. Easy to do with a small torpedo level (see picture). This applies to any type of pendulum clock, not just this one. Overall, a clock that delivers above the price point and is built with quality and looks dang nice as well. Great sounding chimes!
Great quality chimes and attractive wooden case. Reliable Seiko quartz movement, and energy efficient using only one C cell battery. Very pleased!

Beautiful Clock

Nice look for the home, an looks like an antique. Chime is very pretty. Well pleased. The toothbruses fit our system, and do a good job.

Great Seiko wall clocks buy it
Great looking clock easy to set up and woodwork makes it look expensive for $176 I paid for it. Like all Seiko products keeps perfect time.

A very nice wall clock!
It is what we hoped it would be. It is keeping good time, it chimes on the quarter, half, and three quarter hour. It chimes and gongs on the hour as one would expect. It is well finished and was fairly easy to unpack and set up. The finial fits in its hole loosely, but it won't go anywhere, barring and significant seismic activity. It has the look of quality and is appealing to the eye. July 2019 update: The clock, which has performed well, overall (it does run a bit slow) has stopped chiming at 8:00. This is after 3 years, 4 months of ownership. Not a big deal, really, but a bit bewildering. ... show more

Well made and accurate
I've had it for years and is super accurate. Battery lasts 18 months. Fits perfectly on the wall. Quiet and chimes are adjustable. Would buy again.
