There are two different settings (one for christmas time and one for the rest of the year). I absolutely love this clock. It was very easy to put the batteries in and set to correct time. When it marks the hour the music isn't annoying or loud. It's so pleasant that we pause the TV to watch it and listen to it even closer. I found this clock & purchased it, but my husband said he wished he had found it to give to me. This clock truly is beautiful. As long as your home is brightly lit up. The only reason I gave 4 stars is this. It has a sensor that stops the clock from playing the music etc if the room has low light. I typically keep my house fairly dark all the time with room darkning curtains. And because of this it just will not play unless I turn on the ceiling lights. I have a lamp in the living room it's on all the time but it still wont work. I just wish there was a way to turn of the light sensor.. then I would have given it 5 stars.. The sound and motion is gorgeous on this clock. ... show more
