I didn't have room to install with hardware. I used the chips and hung the shade blinds on a tension curtain rod. I only have 1 inch space inside my window. It's working great for me.

I love the look and the ease of installation, however, I ordered size 21.7 inches, my windows are 22 inches, and they sent 20 inches. I didn’t send them back because their next size is slightly more than 23 inches and I really like them so I will have to find some sort of sheer to put alongside them.
