This picture is from ONE practice session, and mostly on plastic drums. They are suspiciously light - I can't believe they are maple. They are 5A size, but are more like a 7 or 8 in weight. I usually use Vater sticks, and this is what they look like after 3 MONTHS of use. The blue paint is starting to come off, and it made them more slippery when my hands got sweaty. On the plus side, this is six pairs for what ONE pair of my normal sticks. And they would be GREAT for hitting rubber or mesh pads. I think beginners would like them especially, As opposed to someone who's used to a certain weight stick for years. There was a little confusion about the word 'Nylon' I thought these were supposed to be nylon tips, but only certain colors in this series are 'nylon' - they have the same tips! I think they mean they have a plastic WRAP on them. IF you are beginner or electronic drummer, these may be right for you. If you are bashin' like Bonham, Look for something else.

In my experience, drum sticks are one of those items that are really only easy to describe in detail when there's something wrong with them. And there's nothing wrong with these. They're lightweight, durable, well balanced, comfortable to hold--I pretty much don't notice them. And that's as it should be, because if I'm noticing the sticks I'm being distracted from my playing. But it's important not to be distracted, so I want to praise EastRock for getting it right here. I do find the black color rather unattractive, I'll admit. But that's a silly nitpick, and anyway three of the six included pairs are a natural wood color, so it really doesn't matter at all.

FYI the colored drumsticks are plastic, they are not wood. The ad does say nylon and I missed that when ordering. Something to be aware of it you'd like wood drumsticks. The nylon sticks are weird and bendy, the wood sticks that come with it are fine. Nylon is a weird choice, maybe they work for electronic kits but they definitely do not feel like wood sticks when playing.

These sticks are much higher quality than I expected. I play a lot at church and own a recording studio. It's amazing how many times a drummer shows up and forgets or just didn't bother to bring their sticks. I'm hoping I can make these the go-to loaners that I don't mind if they get chewed up or taken home. The tips are quality, the weight feels fine, the balance is workable. They're not my choice of size or length, but they're a great value, so we'll see how long they last!

I like the price of these. I have a nine year old boy that sometimes goes a little H.A.M. on the sticks. He is getting a lot of stimulation out of using them so having plenty around is a benefit to us. The finish is good and the size is as described as far as I can tell, they feel nicely balanced. My son enjoys them, apparently. The blue ones are richly colored and look pretty cool. Extra cool, very cool indeed. Wooden tools and instruments that provide tactile stimulation are items we frequently replace due to wear. I think these sticks are a good value and satisfy my needs sufficiently to rebuy if needed.

These are good sticks for learning and messing around. When kids are around here and they get bored, give them a pair of drumsticks and they'll have some fun...maybe not fun for the parents, but it's cool to see them enjoying them. These are light weight and durable. There are many preferences for types of sticks, so for a drummer who likes this type of stick, this is a great deal.
