Let's be VERY CLEAR, this Punching Bag Kit/Set does NOT come FILLED! BUT, this is a VERY DECENT Bag Set for anyone starting out, Beginners & Amateurs!! It cones with everything needed to get started BESIDES the filling for the bag itself. You will need to fill the bag with some of the following: -Sand -Old Clothes & Bedsheets -Sawdust The bag seems to be made of quality materials. As well as the Boxing Gloves. The gloves actually (Surprisingly) Fit VERY WELL & I have a LARGER hand. They are a bit snug but again I have bigger hands. But as far as build quality... they are made very nicely. This punching bag wasn't too difficult to install. We cleared a spot in the basement and hung it from a sturdy support beam. The chain is easy enough to adjust, although it would be wise to have a buddy help if the bag is full. We filled our bag with sand and old clothes, which feels about right when punched. Considering the price, this is a pretty awesome set of workout equipment. The punching bag material seems to be pretty durable. The listing recommends filling it with old t-shirts or towels. If you use sand, you have to put it in some kind of bag, not directly in the punching bag. The chain and hardware for hanging the bag are heavy duty and good quality. The gloves are very good quality. There are some accessories like a jump rope and reflex ball set, which are just ok. ... a good thing! You get a lot of stuff here, that's for sure. There's the nice full-size bag (bags of this size are generally filled to 80-100 pounds -- more on that later), a pair of 12oz sparring gloves, hand wraps, hooks and hardware, reflex ball, and a jump rope. Now, is this up to commercial gym quality? Absolutely not. Will it get a person started and probably hold up for a good while under home conditions? Time will tell, but I don't see why not. The bag and the gloves are made of "PU Leather" which isn't a stinky cowhide, but good old-fashioned vinyl. In most cases, not nearly as good as leather, and in my experience something that will eventually split, but it's not priced like leather either, and if of a good quality, it should last a long while. You can look at the pics below to see what an unfilled bag looks like, as I have not filled mine yet. Advice: Buy a bag or so of sand (about 80lbs worth -- a five gallon bucket of sand will weigh around 90 lbs) pour it into a heavy-grade contractor's garbage bag, tape it up (duct tape) so none of the sand can escape, and use this for the inside weight of the bag, placed at the bottom. It will take up nearly no room down there, and you will not be hitting the sand. For the rest of the bag, try to find some foam rubber, as in old couch cushions, chairs, etc. One old couch should provide enough. Tear or cut the foam into fist-sized pieces and fill the bag. Unlike cloth rags and other material, the foam rubber will not pack down. It's what most modern boxing gloves use (they used to use horse hair, and these would pack down like crazy) Overall, an excellent value. This punching bag is a bit cheap but it does work for the money. I felt that is was not easy to have to fill the bag with random paper and sand to make it work. It just feels funny when you punch wads of paper inside it and it feels like it is too light weight with just paper hence why I put sand in the bottom as well. It is a nice bag but it is plastic and most likely will not last long. I will use it for as long as it lasts. ... show more

This is a great starter kit for boxing. The set includes pretty much everything you need: hand wraps, gloves, jump rope, and a bag (empty) with mounting hardware. Everything included feels to be good quality. The bag feels nice and sturdy with solid hanging loops. There is a large capacity and the bag can be filled with anything you want. The bag has a nice feel to it and is constructed in several layers making for durability. Along with the bag is a pair of 12 ounce boxing gloves which feel and look high quality. Also included are three balls with attached stretch straps that you can use to train with. Wrist straps are included. The bag has rivets at the stress points and sewn in reinforced straps on the bottom. You will have to fill the bag but they do not recommend over 100 lbs of materiel. I plan on using playground sand in one gallon freezer bags. These will be layered between thick rolled attic insulation cut just a bit larger than the opening on the top of the bag. This will give the bag a smooth look on the outside and as you strike it and use it the materiel will settle and form to the shape of the bag. After a bit of time you can add additional filling material. All of the chains and swivels you need to hang it are included. ... show more
