I was thrilled that I was able to turn over the soil in my vegetable garden in about 20 minutes instead of the hours it would have taken with a shovel. Plus, the dirt ended up fluffy and aerated, unlike anything I could have done by hand. Although I used this cordless tiller on an established garden, the tiller still had to rip through large areas of low-growing weeds that had taken hold. Those areas took a little longer than without plants, but this tiller still tore through the soil. Assembly is a bit of a pain, especially since the illustrations in the manual are sometimes difficult to figure out. I had to watch the video and pause at critical times since it moves so quickly. Once assembled, however, this rototiller is sturdy and well-made. I love that it comes with two batteries so that I can do larger jobs without having to pause. Operation is simple. You attach the battery (always detach when storing and moving), hold onto the handle, press in the orange latch while pressing the trigger -- and you're off. The tiller shuts off automatically when you release the trigger. Both the height and the angle of the handle are adjustable. For safety, you must use two hands, one to guide and steady via the handle and one to squeeze the trigger. While this isn't as much of a monster as a full-size rototiller would be, this is much easier to control and operate. I love that it uses a rechargeable battery instead of gasoline or, more dangerously, a power cord. It comes with a screwdriver for assembly, all hardware, and a power pack so that you don't need anything more than is in the box. This is one power tool -- and a cordless one at that -- that I know I'll use for years going forward.

I have a Troy-Bilt "Pony" gasoline powered tiller and a cordless tiller, both of which are for bigger job than this SEESII tiller. The Pony is a monster and at 73 years old a bit too much for me to handle any longer, except for straight line tilling where I don't have to wrestle that thing around turns. The other cordless tiller is for 12 inch wide and 9 inch deep operation that is heavier an to serve a greater capacity than this SEESII tiller. But all three are very useful for different purposes. For annual flower and vegetable gardens we don't need to use the two large tellers. This SEESII tiller is actually the perfect size for mixing nutrients into the soil and generally loosening things up for the spring planting. It's lighter weight and easier mobility is a blessing, too. After wrestling a large machine around for an hour or two I often don't feel like doing the planting until the next day. Not so with this one. The adjustable handle length and tool free adjustment of the front handle allow you to easily make changes in the field for better ergonomics and less fatigue. The dual-battery set-up provides for a longer run time meaning you can work for the entire afternoon switching between tilling and planting. I own several different SEESII tools and appliances and I have found them as reliable and rugged as some more expensive well-known names that cost 2 to 3 times as much. So far I've not been disappointed in the performance, resiliency and cost for any of the SEESII products. The $150 price tag is reasonable for a tool of this design & build quality and reliability.

There's a lot to like about this tiller. It's easy to put together, easy to use and a great value at this price. But the reason you're here is because you want to know if it has enough power to do real work. I can say it definitely has enough power to till through the hard packed dirt in my garden. It's impressively powerful and the blades do a great job. However, it will stall out if you come across some tough root systems in the dirt. Nothing horrible and not a show stopper, but you may want to keep some tools nearby to breakup the root systems if you encounter them. The only missing feature in my opinion is reverse operation. I prefer to use the tiller so when I pull the trigger it starts tilling AWAY from, with force pulling (NOT PUSHING THE BLADES TOWARD ME). Since there's no reverse in the trigger, I just flip the handle so the handle loop points up, not down. This allows tilling with pull motion. All in all, it did a great job of turning my garden into 100% perfectly tilled soil. For that it gets my 5 star rating and recommendation.
