This solar panel camera was perfect for our family. I looked around for a while before deciding on this one and I am happy with my choice. The quality is amazing and despite not having the best internet package, we haven’t experienced any lags or delays so far! I love that it’s solar panel and hasn’t once ran out of power so far!! We placed it in the top corner of our front window so it can be manually turned to face either the living room or turned to face the front door/porch. It was easy to install and is ready to go once connected to the app. If your looking to buy a security camera that runs on solar power, has night vision and motion detection..then just buy it!! I was daunted with the task of setting up another complicated video camera, but to my surprise, it was EXTREMELY simple to get up and running. I purchased this for my 72 year old mother, who has difficult time getting up to the front door, to see who is at the door. With this, she can easily use her phone with the app that the Camera uses and see who is outside. You can even talk through the camera to whoever is outside such as say the mailman wanting clarity of where to place a package etc. Very nice that it's Solar powered, never needing plugged in or batteries. As long as there is light/sunlight, this will work 100%. Image quality is very nice. Completely acceptable. And at night, being full color with Night Vision, it's just as clear. Has motion detection that the sensitivity can be tweaked so a passing car or stray animal won't trigger it to turn "ON". It's weather proof all year round so no worries if rain etc ruining the device. Just make sure Solar Panel is clear of debris or snow. Installation was simple. Only real thing to be aware of is a good place to mount the Solar Panel. Where I put this, is in the perfect spot as much sunlight hits the area it's installed at. Included items are the Camera itself, Power Adapter, USB cable, all the Mounting Hardware, Instructions and the Solar Panel. For how simple this is and how many features it offers, this is a really nice item that I would recommend. ... show more

    • sharp images and easy to install (updated after 2 weeks of use)
------ (updated 2 weeks after installation) The vendor provided a remote problem solving to update the f/w on the camera remotely. At the same time further analysis was carried on to ensure the faults alarm won't occur again. A replacement camera was sent when issue was found on the IPR sensor, this helps to resolve the problem and the original one is used for live streaming purpose when required. ------ (updated 3 days after installation) Still love the image quality and the sensitivity of the camera; however the power indicator does not seem correct or there might be issue with the battery on my unit. I had a firmware upgrade this morning and noticed that power bar is full (shown on APP) with the solar panel connected under full sun (direct). Once f/w is upgraded (2 mins) the battery went to zero and the camera just turned off. Really not sure if the APP has issue to indicate the power level or there is power management issue as 100% to 0% in 2 mins is just not acceptable. ------ (first review) This camera requires a 3rd party APP to be installed so could be used, and a new account would be required to active the service. The camera seemed pretty well designed with wifi and battery built in. The size is about Arlo camera and accessories such as holding stand could be shared. It also comes with a solar panel (small) with the correct USB connector to be used as alternative power source. The installation is very easy (but the 3rd party APP has to be installed first). Just turn on the camera, setup Wifi info on the APP, then let the camera "read" the QR code shown on phone. Once wifi is connected then it's ready to be used. There are several functions available from the APP and there is advanced plan to be purchased if more than 3-day video clips is required. Very quick installation and navigating the app was super easy. The solar panel works really well. I have had it up for a few months now and have not had to take it down to charge up like other brands I've used. The picture quality is really good and when you use the light during night it actually lights up enough to show color. Just wish it had rotating capabilities. ... show more
