If you're looking for a camera that you can only view and control with IOS or Android devices using their proprietary app, that also requires a subscription to an offshore cloud service to be able to play back recordings and whose claims to support SD card recordings and ONVIF and RTSP protocols is complete BS, this is the camera for you. Who knows? I'm sure that stuff doesn't matter to most casual users. But for those that it does? My advice is to keep shopping. The messy details -- First, picture quality and PT(no Z) is really good. And the app/camera supports a lot of features some folks will find attractive. If that's as far as it goes for you, yep. It's a decent value. For the rest of us trying to integrate one additional camera into an existing security ecosystem, it fails. So what about those erroneous claims? Well, first, for the SD Card problems that many other reviewers have also encountered, I had the same experience. Brand new class 10, 16gb Samsung chip. Insert it fresh and seemed to work and be happy for the first clip. Then, it starts showing 'Abnormal' with only option offered is Format. Pop chip it out (Did I mention that's really inconvenient for ceiling mounted cam?), pop it into a Windows PC, run scandisk, reports no issues at all and, indeed, there are the first stills and a short recording on the chip. Pop it back in the camera. Still 'Abnormal'. What the heck. Don't need that recording of me installing the camera (on the ceiling). Tap 'Format'. The first time it just sat there...for hours...never came back. Another time it seemed to format successfully. But a little later it's reporting 'Abnormal' again. Bottom line: As somebody else said, I think they really want you to pay for their cloud service. Ummmmm? NO. Second, as for the false ONVIF and RTSP claims, we scoured the internet for anyone that shared how they actually made it work. Even asked ChatGPT. Actually found a thread where someone laid out the entire process for similar camera. Copied it (including downloading the ISpy tool, which also claimed to be able to automagically make this camera open-architecture friendly to software such as Blue Iris.), Wall? Meet head. We even ran an IP port scanner against the device. It shows to be open on 80 (http) and 554 (RTSP) as well as another. Try as we may. Try as we might, the little camera was not talking on this night. So, gave it to a friend who doesn't have the same needs as we do and on to the next one. ... show more

We have three and are going to purchase another. They work great, we use 5gb SD cards to store video on board. One is slow to respond but it is atleast 130 yards from the router behind a storage building.

This camera works great. I bought them, they did the job, I have them throughout my house and can easily access on the same app. However.... Several months after I bought it, It was too good to be true, the company couldn't be happy with customers just buying their product and had to start selling subscriptions -- cloud services, some IMOU protect service. An annoying pop up comes up all the time that you can't disable. The cloud service recordings all go to somewhere in China. I've emailed their tech support and there is no way to disable that pop up. Great Camera but there might be others that don't harass you to buy their subscription. ... show more

This is my first security camera and I researched extensively as to which one would be best for me. I quickly discovered there is an endless supply of all types wired, wireless, 1080 to 4K etc… I also noticed each had its critics, some severe so it wasn’t easy to decide. I then decided to purchase what I needed and spend mid range as I needed good night vision. So this camera is mounted outside to keep vigil over my boat, and I could not have spotlights or sirens going off so there had to be controls allowing flexibility. I also wanted to be able to easily access the camera from my iPhone and rotate the view. I came across from IMOU it wasn’t one that thousands had purchased but it appeared to have all the functions I needed. I was hesitant about buying a Wi-Fi version as there were negative reviews saying how hard wired was best. We’ll thinking back on today’s computer and technology products and how you really can’t tell the fastest or best unless you are using expensive test equipment and I didn’t want to drill holes thru my walls I decided to try this Wi-Fi version…WOW So now to the camera, the pictures tell the story. One is during the daytime the other at full dark. Now the nighttime picture was taken with no floodlight. I used both full color and inferred both provided same results. It was super easy to set this camera up. First download the IMOU app setup your account, scan the code on the back of the camera mount the camera and plug it in. Again WOW beautiful picture, super quiet operation, fully remote viewed and controlled what more do you need. Oh yes they offer cloud storage and let you test that for 7 days but the camera also accepts 256 gb micro sad card. I will review this again after a few months but initially I am extremely satisfied with. This product.
