08/08/22 Recent update from Blurams about my MAC address concern. They have been great about addressing concerns and support is getting much better. "Hi Chris, We notice you updated feedback on Amazon detail page, and we are so sorry about our description may caused misunderstanding for new users. Because the wifi and Ethernet network interface card is separately, the outdoor camera shows different MAC addres in the wifi router. For example, when you add the laptop via wifi and RJ-45 ethernet cable separately, you'll see a different laptop's MAC address in the router's DHCP allocation table. Also, we'll redesign the MAC address label, and it will show both MAC address, so new users will not confused in this case. Your kind understanding and patience would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Blurams " Original Concern: I've got 9 Blurams cameras...for the price, they've been great...BUT NOW...When assigned names to the cameras on my local network, I realized that all 3 of my cameras like this one, the MAC addresses ARE NOT what's appearing on my router, totally different number. This camera is great, it’s small, compact, and easy to install! but I don’t like how there isn’t an option to turn on and off the flood light without messing with the night vision. It makes it so in order to have good video at night that the lights have to be on and they are super bright. I also don’t like that the camera is stationary. Works and records without iCloud, no expenses there, plugs in to my outside socket so no batteries needed, easy to secure, really nice video recordings. Great videos. Much better than Blink. Use it to detect feral cat we feed. I live in Pennsylvania but one day I was in NY city and was still getting video alerts. So able to see my deck while in NYC. Did not realize it would do that. This is my second Blurams security camera. I own the original outdoor cam with night vision and motion detection. This new Spotlight Camera has a little bit better resolution and has also added a new feature, the spotlight. I have not had any issues with either camera. They both work well, especially for the price. I also have a ring video doorbell and if I am completely honest, I like these cameras much more. The app comes up quickly and I can often see who is outside with these cameras before the Ring doorbell even notifies me. The only issue I have is that you have to pay a monthly fee (4.99 per month is the lowest plan) for each camera to be able to view live video. That's $10 a month for my 2 cameras. You can go without paying the plan but you can only see the video when there is an alert. So if you like to periodically just check on things, you will need to pay the minimum monthly fee. Honestly, for me, I don't mind paying the fee to be able to have the video storage and live view, but if you want to run a multi camera set up, the fee could add up. Overall, if you just want a cheap but reliable camera to help you keep an eye on your property, this cam is it. ... show more

This is a nice camera, the Wi-Fi range is perfectly adequate for my needs. I have this in our backyard looking at our kids play area and have no complaints on quality or ease of viewing in the app. It says it is waterproof and only time will tell on that part, but it even has waterproof connectors built it and they provide a small amount of rubber like tape to add around the connections. I would recommend buying some more good quality electrical tape or something comparable to make sure the connections stay dry. This is my second blurams product and I will probably purchase a few more. I have several ring cameras and I feel these are way quicker to view in the app then the ring variants. For the price, I don’t think there is much of a risk trying these out and you will probably be pretty happy with them. I don’t pay for the cloud storage they offer as I only need live view capability currently, they do offer that as an option however if that is a feature you need. ... show more

The camera is a great addition to the 8 Blurams cameras I already have. The picture is good, but at night it’s great. The spotlight is super bright and without the night vision is good. The cord is plenty long and the setup took 5 minutes! It’s easier to Setup the WiFi and then move it than to try once it’s up. I’ll buy more for outside for sure! ... show more
