  • Best value or the money
Had no problems formatting in GPT Windows 11 Pro. Replaced a 2TB hard drive that failed. It's fast, quiet and easy to install. Drive is used as simple storage , drive letter D. Quick restore from backup and back in business. Shipping fast and well packaged. No complaints.

  • Works well so far
It's still a little early to know for sure. Bought this to upgrade my security camera system. So far it works perfectly. Hopefully it continues.

  • A good value drive.
Drive was well packaged. Once I installed into my machine as a second drive, the machine did not want to go past POST. What I did was I placed it in an external USB caddy and then cleared out the old partitions using DiskPart to make it look like a totally unused drive. Popped it back into the machine and then set it up in Disk Manager per usual. Seems to work just fine for a drive on a utility server. ... show more

NO negatives with this Seagate ST4000NM0033 Constellation HDD. It's easy to install, format and runs smoothly and silently. I've been building/upgrading computers for 40 years, and have always been well satisfied by the Seagate brand HDD's. • Not bad considering the price
Despite the expected high power on hour count I will say I am shocked it still passes the basic SMART health checks using GSmartControl, though I do intend to give it a full check over using more specialized tools just to ensure it will last for as long as possible for the application I intend to use it in, definitely well worth the price should it clear all tests I have lined up for it ... show more

  • Up and running in my NAS
Dropped the new drive in after a failure. The system rebuilt and passed all drive tests. It was great to be able to feel my data (raid 5) is secure again. I ordered another just to put on the shelf.

  • you have to change file formate to use all the capacity storage
if you stay with NFtc format you won't be able to use all the capacity storage of 4tb, only two. you have to change it.
