Description

The SCOSCHE MagicGrip Qi wireless suction cup mount with automatic sensing adjustable arms and Qi charger can be secured to your dashboard or window or any flat surface with the reusable StickGrip suction cup base. Wirelessly charge any Qi-enabled device with up to 15-Watts of charging power, without using a charging cable plugged directly into the device. The foreign object detection makes sure that charging only activates when nothing is obstructing that area. Simply place your device near the MagicGrip charging coil and watch the arms automatically close to securely grip and charge your device. To remove your device, just gently pull it away from the charging coil area and MagicGrip will sense and open its arms back up. The car phone mount accommodates devices up to 3.5 inches wide. The 360 degree adjustable ball joint locks for secure positioning and optimal viewing from almost any angle. An ambient light sensing LED ring indicates charging and adjusts intensity in light and dark settings. A thermal management gap between the charging head and your device allows heated air to escape, promoting cooler, safer charging for your device. This has served me well! It charges great, and is strong enough to hold my iphone. At first I was frustrated with the lack of long-lasting adhesion to the dash board, but then I realized I could suction it to my windshield, and that has definitely changed the game. Much better!

I have been searching for a product that would hold my phone and fit my car. Due to the design of my car I tried a number of them and they were either too bulky, too flimsy or not practical. I did not imagine how nice it would be to have one that was also a charging station. What a great item. So easy to install and such a durable, attractive phone holder. Now, whenever I jump into my car and power it on the device automatically opens its arms ready for my phone. Once I place it the arms it automatically holds my phone and the charging begins.     • LOVE SCOSCHE…but not this one!! UPDATED 10/11/21
While it’s a great concept, the execution was poor. After installing (which was super simple, as it is with most of their products), went to use it. Finding the right spot to get the device to recognize my phone was in the cradle took a little bit to get used to. But the biggest problem was that my phone kept sliding down in the cradle. The subtle vibrations from the car eventually would cause my phone to slide all the way down, stop charging, and eventually fall out. My phone does have a case, but is textured on the sides for added grip, so you would think that would increase the cradles ability to hold my phone in place. Wrong! I even tried it without the case, but got the same result. Ended up only using for about a week before going back to my Magic Mount. UPDATE: Changing my review from 1 Star to 3. As I mentioned, LOVE Scosche but this line was kind of a miss. However, got a new phone and a new case that has flat, non-textured sides, which apparently allows for the grip pads to have better traction and hold my phone in place. With this design, it’s pretty solid when in the cradle. Still giving it just 3 stars though because of the issues I had previously, plus I’m not a huge fan of having to basically forcefully pry my phone out of the cradle when I get out of my car. That, added with the fact that I have to remember to try and take it out BEFORE I turn off my vehicle, so that the cradle resets. Still a bit annoying overall, but definitely a better experience with the new phone and case. So I’d say just be cautious with this product. ... show more

It works great, unfortunately once you remove the phone from the mount and try to put it back, it will not accept it?. I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work like it should. I’m not happy that I paid 74$, for this and I run through these issues every time.

    • FORGET IT! Do not hit purchase!
I purchased this mount and I really wanted it to work. I followed the instructions and cleaned the area prior to mounting the unit. I was told by a factory rep to not touch the mount for 3 days to enable the adhesive to fully stick to the dash. I checked my car 2 hours later and there it was on the floor of the vehicle, no matter what I did it would not stick to the dash. I’m all honesty I must say the my dash is slightly curved which was not good for any adhesive product. In reality, I utilized the area of the dash with only a slight curve, but no luck. I was just happy that this unit did not fall down while driving and get in the way of the 2 pedals! No matter what I attempted c the mount would not stick which led me to returning it ... show more

Style: Free Flow Vent
I have an iPhone 14Pro and got this to replace my current car charging arrangement which holds the phone to the dash with MagSafe alone. It works well but I'm in Detroit where potholes reign supreme. Every time I hit one the phone goes flying to some random corner of a car. This seemed like a reasonable, flexible solution to the problem but it didn't work out. The first problem is that Scosche REQUIRES you to use their single port lighter adapter which is a deal killer for me. I have chargers for multiple devices in the car as well as the need to power a camera system. The second issue is that I received a slightly different product than what I was expecting. The part of the vent mount that's meant to clamp onto the vents' fins seems to just push on? There is no way to tighten or loosen it as depicted. It may have been fine. Just thought I should mention it as it was unexpected. The third issue (also a deal killer for me) was the charge rate. I didn't need it to be as fast as Apple's charger or anything but noted 10 minutes on this Scosche charger only added 2% to the battery. I tried this 3 times, removing the phone from the charger completely each time to account for possible misalignment of the charging element but no luck. The best I got out of it was 3% over 10 minutes which is objectively useless. I get a better rate out of a MagSafe if I'm using the phone heavily while it's charging (which I wasn't when I tested this charger). The last issue was with alignment. I expected there to be a magnet inside the charging head that would both provide some of the hold and guarantee uniform placement. This isn't the case! In fact, the phone placement after the mount grabs the phone is bad enough that the phone doesn't charge a good percentage of the time, forcing you to remove the phone and try again. In another odd factoid, the charging base seemed to overlap the camera sometimes. This prevented the phone from sitting flush against the surface of the charging head. Again, this didn't happen every time but enough to were it's clear that alignment is a problem with this product. Your results may vary with different phones and configurations but I'm returning it. This is my second one. My old phone one charging pad came off. The think it was due to being to hot in the car. I tried to find the replacement pads but no luck. It's worth ever penny of it's price. Its sturdy, and you can also mount it on the dash. But in my old Honda Accord it wouldn't stick. It's also adjustable in length for your phone. ... show more
