Description

The SCOSCHE MagicGrip Qi wireless suction cup mount with automatic sensing adjustable arms and Qi charger can be secured to your dashboard or window or any flat surface with the reusable StickGrip suction cup base. Wirelessly charge any Qi-enabled device with up to 15-Watts of charging power, without using a charging cable plugged directly into the device. The foreign object detection makes sure that charging only activates when nothing is obstructing that area. Simply place your device near the MagicGrip charging coil and watch the arms automatically close to securely grip and charge your device. To remove your device, just gently pull it away from the charging coil area and MagicGrip will sense and open its arms back up. The car phone mount accommodates devices up to 3.5 inches wide. The 360 degree adjustable ball joint locks for secure positioning and optimal viewing from almost any angle. An ambient light sensing LED ring indicates charging and adjusts intensity in light and dark settings. A thermal management gap between the charging head and your device allows heated air to escape, promoting cooler, safer charging for your device. I have been searching for a product that would hold my phone and fit my car. Due to the design of my car I tried a number of them and they were either too bulky, too flimsy or not practical. I did not imagine how nice it would be to have one that was also a charging station. What a great item. So easy to install and such a durable, attractive phone holder. Now, whenever I jump into my car and power it on the device automatically opens its arms ready for my phone. Once I place it the arms it automatically holds my phone and the charging begins. I've bought this product multiple times but would last me about 1-2 years but eventually the suction & sticky part would break but really liked it. my biggest gripe when I got this when it first came out the ball pivot was hard to move but I Liked because it wouldn't move when driving over bumps or offroad. But now in the last few years it's looser on these newer ones so my phones move down instantly & even fall off where the ball joint connects. If you can fix this then I'll buy more again. Wish I kept my old pivot ball joint. It chargers my phone and even newer one's just fine. If you have a case that's more rubber than a tpu depending, phone will slip out sometimes. I feel the older ones gripped your phone better to. ... show more

This is my second one. My old phone one charging pad came off. The think it was due to being to hot in the car. I tried to find the replacement pads but no luck. It's worth ever penny of it's price. There’s some stuff to like about this. While overly complicated and a bit gimmicky, the automatic mechanism that grabs the phone when it senses wireless charging has started seems to work well enough. I haven’t once had a problem in finding the sweet spot for the phone. The release process is complete rubbish, however. The info sheet in the box suggests that as you start to lever the phone out of the grips, the mount will notice and release it. In practice I end up basically twisting the phone out of the grip completely, at which point it springs shut, notices the phone has gone, and then finally opens. It might be this weakness that exacerbates the worst flaw - it’s now summer, and the midday sun is properly hot here. The suction cup does not stay stuck to the windscreen for more than a couple of days before giving up and popping off. The first time was after a couple of days where I came back to my car to find it lying on the dash. My favourite, however, was when that happened while I was driving and went over a bump in the road. If it’s doing this now when new, I can’t imagine how insufferable it’ll be in a year. I honestly thought that buying a much more expensive mount than a lot of the alphabet soup rubbish Amazon is swimming in these days would have resulted in something solid, but for the cost, I’m not putting up with it; it’s going back. ... show more

I needed a new phone holder and this one looked promising. The dashboard attachment doesn’t stick—kept falling down after 15-20 minutes. Fortunately they included a vent holder (not crazy about those because they block the flow of AC), which seems to stay put so far. It’s supposed to charge the phone, but that hasn’t happened. But it still takes up a USB port. The automatic open-close only works part of the time. Unfortunately the box was damaged when I opened it, so I can’t return it. If you need a phone holder for your car, I’d suggest looking at other options. ... show more

I purchased this on the advice of my daughter. She lives in New Zealand so we use the Marco Polo app a lot to communicate. I needed something that would securely hold my iPhone and in a safe position so I could talk and drive at the same time. Bonus is that it charges my iPhone at the same time!! I was able to easily position it on top of my dash like where you would put a Garmin. It has nice little suction pieces to hold the cable that runs from it to my power source. (Plug included) So the phone can swivel up or sideways and tilt which is perfect especially for things like acting as a Garmin or for Marco Polo use. I do have to remove my phone otterbox to get it to grab my phone which is easy for me to remove. This sure beats the days of my phone just sliding all over the car even when I use it for maps.
