    • Perfect solution if you know what you need
First off, this is just a plastic mount which holds Apple MagSafe charging puck. And it does it well. Thing you need to know is, the Apple MagSafe puck is made of aluminum and gets super hot in sunny conditions. It is hot enough to burn/damage surfaces. Only solution that works reliably is to fix this mount in front of an AC vent, that cools the charger and charges super fast. The MagSafe on its own has strength to hold my IPhone 14 pro max with a MagSafe case. But the metallic scosche logo on mount is also magnetic which holds the phone reliably. It has survived my off road drives and spirited canyon runs, phone sits rock solid. If you use the swing arm, the mount wobbles but phone still sits mounted. I tried 4-5 MagSafe charger holders for cars with various styles from apogee, Chinese suppliers etc. this is the only one that has held my phone so strong. If you want 15w wireless charging, you have to use Apple MagSafe wireless charger puck. 3rd party wireless chargers max out at 7.5w and is barely enough to maintain battery level with navigation. I bought this as my ball magic mount was going out and needed a replacement. It tightens and holds well but has some wobble from the arm. Apple MagSafe charger fit perfectly and have had no issues holding my phone with MagSafe case over bumps and potholes. Make sure you use a quality case or no case and you should be fine. ... show more

This didn’t work in my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. It fell right off the vent. Just couldn’t be tightened enough. Played with it for a half hour. The mag charger with my mag safe case didn’t seem very strong either. Can’t imagine why. The plastic ring around the charger? Great idea with the arm but not in my car. ... show more

    • Love this brand but…
I bought this because it had the option to stick or be placed in the vent. I couldn’t stick it so I used the vent option. When turning in my vehicle it has flew out of the vent multiple times and is always sliding out of the vent. So if you are buying this for you vent you may want to rethink it.

    • Quality mount for MagSafe puck
First, you have to realize this is not a charger and mount all in one. This is the mount only, and comes with a 12 volt plug-in for the MagSafe puck. The MagSafe puck is purchased separately and then snaps into this car mount. If you look up a true MagSafe car charger all in one you’ll find that there is maybe one aftermarket company that makes one. For whatever reason, no one seems to make one. This is the best alternative, and actually shows the MagSafe animation on the phone when you put it on to charge. The 12 volt charge adapter provides the full 20 watts for the MagSafe puck so that it performs properly. I’m very happy with this purchase, cause I understood what I was getting. ... show more

    • Decent mount doesn’t work with certain cases
This mount is great for the most part. It works well and provided TONS of flexibility. I upgraded from the magic mount so I have the old suction cup and it works well with that. However, it doesn’t work with my case. I have a Spigen MagSafe case and it has a protector ring around the lenses which interferes with the scosche ring being able to sit flush against the case, causing the phone to fall off while driving down the road. The part where the MagSafe charger pops into also broke between the ring and ball, rendering this unusable. I have only had the mount for about 22 days. I’m not sure what caused the part to break but it looks like there was an issue with the manufacturing. Otherwise, it seemed like a great product. I am getting another one, will modify my case to accept the mount and see if the phone stays on better. ... show more

This is the best MagSafe car adapter I've found; full-speed charging (because you have to add your own Apple MagSafe puck) and my iPhone has yet to fall off ... even with "spirited" driving. There is very little vibration of the phone when connected directly to the vent adapter (but quite a bit of vibration if also using the extension arm). ... show more
