  • Beautiful bike! Sturdy! Firm Seat!
The shipping was very fast, it was in stock and I received it within 4 days! The finish is beautiful! The seat, while it does have springs, is still too firm for me so I'll probably invest in a gel cover. Changing the gears is easy with just a twist of the wrist, it engages solidly to the point of making a refunding "clunk" when you're gearing down (not up). Adjusting the brakes is a tad bit time consuming to get them adjusted properly. Just pour yourself a nice cup of tea, put on some relaxing music, pull up a view You Tube videos and you'll be right as rain! I would strongly suggest you put a but of rubbing alcohol on a rag and wiping down both sides of the front and back rims to clean them of any dirt or oil (particularly the front before assembly!) to help eliminate any brake squeaking. While your at it, you may want to consider giving the front brake pads a wipe while your at it, it's much easier to do Before you mount the front tire! IF your fronts brakes still squeak, you'll probably have to toe the front pads in a bit (again see You Tube) that parts not very difficult. Last but not least, learn from my silly mistake. When I unpacked the bike I cut the box in such a way that I lifted the box off the bike, and started assembling it straight away WITHOUT noticing that they turned the front fork backwards to get it to fit properly in the box! Be Sure that this label (apparently not quite obvious enough for some of us 😁 is facing towards the rear of the bike! Overall it's a very nice, sturdy bike that I am confident that I'll get years of use out of. I hope this helps someone! Cheers! ... show more

  • The seat is super comfortable unlike most bike seats.
This bike is awesome. It gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. I named her Red Ryder since she’s quite the celebrity. I take her everywhere.

  • Overall good ride :)
Not a bad bike for the price, bought it mostly for the sweet looks & the rear rack. It rides just about how I expected, only more chill. Youre not winning any races on this thing but in style I’d say it’s pretty solid man. Look at this thing! Im fairly tall at 6 foot 3 so if you’re worried if it’s big enough for a man, don’t. Its feels good, just adjust the seat & the bars & you’re good too go. I plan to get better brake pads eventually but these work good enough. Over all it was worth it I’d say. You know get a little sun, a little blood pumping, get around your neighbor hood, go to the park. What else are we gonna do? ... show more

  • Excellent deal for "old-school" steel bike
The best looking and cheapest bike in my fleet. Instead of buying similar bike used you can find a great deal and buy it new. I own 4 bikes and I can comfortably work/build bikes. All my bikes are much higher performance for commuting and riding, but this bike catches most attention: bright red color overbuilt steel frame and most upright rider position. It does require some basic assembly skills: rim breaks calibration and fine-tuning the bike. The bike is very stable due to overbuilt frame 26 inch tires and long distance between wheels. This bike is good to ride a few blocks on a nice sunny day to a picnic. Ideal for 4-stoke gas kit installation. The product was packaged OK. I had a couple of bent fenders that was easy to unbent. Smoking deal for the price. I am 6 ft 1 and about 200 pounds and this bike fits me OK for the gas kit conversion and initial shiny look, but simplicity will make it last a while with some minimal adjustment. ... show more

  • Great bike!
This is a high quality bike. It’s very sturdy, but beautiful as well. The paint job is amazing seat is very comfortable. Assembly was easy, but I couldn’t get the brakes or the gear tweaked just right. I had to take it to a bike shop to have it adjusted. It works perfect now and I would’ve had the same issue with any out of the box bike with quality gears/brakes so I left 5 stars. ... show more

  • Quality is very poor, despite how it looks like an attractive bike
Schwinn used to be an American classic, now it’s just a waste of money in time. When I first got the bike, the gears attached to the pedals were wicked bent and I considered sending it back then, but was able to bend them back and get it working, very flimsy. The chain derailer wasn’t terrible to tune however, in the fourth and fifth gears, you could tell it was trying to shift up and down. The brakes were a mess because they were also warped and made a very poor metal. There was no way to get the front brakes and the back brakes exactly where they needed to be without bending them also. It aesthetically is pleasing, but after riding it for a few days the cheap metal was warping, and I had a tune it constantly. The bike suffered a malfunction when I was on 12 mile ride and I wiped out. There was no way to tune the breaks after that. I was unaware at the time, but the professional bike shops in my area don’t sell Schwinn anymore because of the poor quality. Wish I knew I had that knowledge before I bought it. If you want to get it for a wall piece or just to look at why not but it’s definitely not rideable. And if you’re a little bit older and prone to injury, especially stay away from it. ... show more

  • Good looking bike, alot of mechanical problems
Been using this for my daily commute for 2 months, 7 miles a day 90% flat on nice paved roads. Since I got this bike the rear derailleur has had to be reset 3 times, the pedal arms bent left and right side, rear brake left side broke off the frame while braking on a hill. The main sprocket on the pedals has warped. Rear hub bearing retaining clip underneath the 7 speed Shimano cassette broke and it crushed 2 bearings inside the hub. Bicycle rides well the first month, however things start to bend and break afterwards. This is not like the Schwinn bicycles I grew up with and loved for 8 years back in 1998-2007. Good looking bike but not worth after some time and usage. ... show more

  • Beautiful bike
This Schwinn bicycle is really a beautiful bike. The bike that I received has a really nice paint job and I found only a couple of minor scratches. It looks like it's well made and was easy to put together. Also it came with all the parts. It's been raining out so I haven't had a chance to ride, but just sitting on the seat it feels like it will be a comfortable bike to ride. I recommend this bike. ... show more
