  • Very nice bike, very nice customer service
The bike looks great. Black and orange colors are very very cool, looks mean. 29" wheels are huge but very light weight. Took some time to figure out the disc brakes but once I figured out how it works, I was able to reseat (wasn't mounted correctly when arrived) and adjusted the power and now very assuring braking power. Seat hurt a lot so bought a new seat at Amazon. Bike is very fast at downhill. Worked nice on snow covered uphill but wished for one more low gear. Now I know why 27 speed is better than 24 speed. Even the frame is only 17" medium, it is big. I'm 6'. With 29" tires, even 17" frame feels like a very big bike. Very tall. Broke the chain after 4-5 uses on about 10 mile trail. Called the customer service (very very nice service by Sidney), short waiting, and new chain is on the way, covered by warranty. Can't wait to go out again because this bike is so good. Bought it from Amazon just before the price increased by about 10% so very happy. 2 months delivery at the time of order but was delivered in 3 week. ... show more

  • For the money its a winner
Great bike

  • Good
Great out of the box for casual riding. I bought this bike and did a ton of modifications to it just because I like to tinker with anything I own. It's takes a bit of doing homework to modify as it's not up to date or par with the fancy shmancy stuff from today, but if you like to modify stuff it's kind of fun having to figure out what fits. Now that being said I wouldn't pay the 600 something they are asking now I payed around 300 bucks for it so it made sense to modify it. At 600 id probably get a cheaper specialized or giant or something along those lines. The bike is a good entry level bike reliable and Schwinn has always had great customer service. ... show more

  • Very good for the price.
Got this for myself and my wife. Both are very happy. Requires assembly. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, take it to a bike shop. For me, it was pretty simple to do myself. Gear shifting was precise out of the box - not sure if we got lucky or if it was tuned up before packaging, but the bottom line is I didn't have to take them to the bike shop for tune-up. ... show more

  • Worst bike we have ever had
In the 5 months we have had this we have had the front bearings and hub explode, the rear gear shift somehow bent inward while riding when shifting. Local bike shop can't figure it out and the cost of constant repairs is now added up to the point I'm throwing it in a dumpster. All of this riding on paved residential roads. DONT buy this bike, it's a complete POS. Adding to this review as it hit the dumpster after 9 months. The rear gear shift fails all the time bending inward and basically wrapping the chain around itself. The chain permanently twisted around it. This bike is an epic waste of money. Do not buy it at any price, if someone offers you one pay them 20 dollars to go away and take it with them, it will vost you less in the long run. ... show more

  • Overall, a good bike for someone 6'2 - 6'3
I have a hard time bike shopping. Being taller with really long legs makes finding a bike that is tall enough, with enough space from the handlebars to clear the knees, semi-challenging. This was a winner. One of the first things I would recommend is taking it to a bike shop after assembly for a "tune-up". It won't cost you much ($15-$20) and they can double check all the things you aren't an expert in adjusting. I feel like this saved me tons of potential future issues. Also fixed my chain slip issue by adjusting chain tension I assume. Overall this bike has been good for trail riding and riding around town. I added a rack to the back and carry baskets on either side for longer trail riding storage or shopping around town, works great. Also upgraded the pedals to these, I don't like my feet to slip off when it's wet/muddy: https://amzn.to/45zGnVu Rack: https://amzn.to/3BXSDBA Baskets: https://amzn.to/3BYduov Headlight/horn: https://amzn.to/3IMRh0l Water bottle holder: https://amzn.to/3IP0iWH ... show more

  • Nice ride, no problems yet,
Seems to be a good quality bike. Thought Schwinn would be a made in U.S.A. product, kinda disappointed by the made in china sticker on it.

  • Update
Put about 100 miles on this on single track bike trails and some very rough terrain. Lots of fun.. Also jumped it a bit on some small table top jumps. The bike is light and powerful, but wheel base is just too close and I find the fork angle too steep. Makes me feel like I'm prone to going over the handle bars more easily if I get into trouble. They should have just used a 1x or 2x drive train. You'll never use the largest front gear on the trail. Anyhow, somehow I snapped the rear axle. The rear rim ended up being wonky and unfixable also. I do ride this thing very hard. I'll probably continue to ride it hard until it is unfixable, then I'll buy a higher quality bike. ... show more
