So I'm a very close to 50 year old female, non-licensed cosmetologist, who absolutely refuses to do direct bleaching on my hair. Unlike the brave, impetuous teens and millennials on Tik Tok and YouTube, my hair is fine, delicate, and thinning on top, so I only do bleach baths/washes. When I recently blind-dived into bleaching and giving rainbow color to another living, breathing person (I had NEVER done anyone's hair but my own before that), even though she was in her mid-twenties, I would only do a bleach BATH on her fine, thin, level 4, virgin hair...thank god it worked! And it WORKED because of BlondMe. If you watch Hair Buddha on YouTube, he cannot say enough good things about these products that he claims he uses in his own salon. I do like me some Mondo, but he's a bit too hyper for me, and HB simply has more experience. BlondMe claims it lifts 9 levels; with me using it only in bleach baths with the BlondMe 20 volume developer and OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo (1:1:1 ratio), usually on my level 5 poop-tinsel roots and semi-ed, demi-ed, and some permanent shaft and ends, I would say I get all that color out, then the darker roots to about a level 8.5...on a wash...which is really good. The back of my hair is more porous, so that stuff goes to a level 10. Good stuff. And here's a tip for people like me who, like, 50% understand toning, but know that T18 is NOT right for what I just described: you can TONE YOUR BLEACH, so there's little to no toning, IF you are looking to put on a "fashion color" after the bleach! It works like this: BlondMe is a blue based bleach, and blue cancels orange tones, but that means you will most likely be left with what HB calls, 'baby chick yellow'. Purple cancels yellow, but we KNOW not to use Purple Shampoo as a toner...yeah, don't do that. There is a product by ARDELL (maybe this seller has it!) that is called Red Gold Corrector Plus, which is basically just purple pigment. You add 15 drops to every scoop of bleach that you use, so you are essentially toning WHILE you bleach. This works extremely well with BlondMe, as both products' pigments are so solid and consistent. As far as this transaction, it was painless, as the canister arrived when and as expected, still tightly sealed. I plan to use this batch for my bleach bath in a month, in preparation of celebrating my 50th birthday as a Sapphire-headed Virgo!     • Can't say enough good stuff about this product
This bleach was unlike any other bleach I've used in the past. This bleach smells incredibly good and the product does not make your scalp burn or itch. When you rinse it out it comes right out without a problem unlike quick blue which is like caked in your hair. Definitely will be buying again! Pair it with their 20 volume developer. Love this product. I went from a very dark, almost black, blue color (this is definitely one of the most difficult colors to remove), to light blonde in one use. Level 1 or 2 to a level 9 or 10. I couldn't believe it. I don't know if I'll ever use another bleach. It didn't burn or smell bad, and with a bond builder added in it barely did any real damage to my hair. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

    • So easy to use - almost fool proof in mixing up
I had experienced a product, Schwartzkopf Color Remover - which when mixed up exactly as the instructions say, using the exact developer, the consistency was really off and it seamed to be more powerful than BlondMe, but again the consistency was bad - so there was a lot of patchiness. BlondMe is NOTHING like that!! This lightening formula is gold - the consistency is amazing you just have to eyeball it to get it right. It’s so easy to apply evenly and there’s just a certain feeling to the hair when it’s coated thoroughly. Other lighteners often get chunky bits - homogenous mixtures are critical especially when you expect even coloring. I’ve tried it with 10 and 20 vol to slowly lighten works great. Lifting from level 5 brown hair - 45 minutes with 30vol still provides very brassy orangy-reddish result. I will try to leave longer for next time.

I did a bleach / cap wash with 20 volume. I have fine hair that breaks easily, and this bleach did a great job. I didn't leave it on a long time, so my lift was subtle. Most importantly though, the bleach did not eat my hair. It also didn't stink until the developer was added. My recipe for bleach or cap wash to lift the level in the hair: - 1 scoop bleach - 1 scoop developer - 1 scoop shampoo Whisk until smooth. Apply to really wet hair, starting at ends, working your way up to your roots. Massage in and around for even application. Leave in for 5-30 minutes. Check ever minute to ensure that the perimeter of the hair is covered. Rinse. Wash. Condition. ... show more

It doesn’t dry out the hair and doesn’t go too orange. It seems to be fast than others. I bleach my hair at least every 40 days. I bring with me to my colorist and she never complained

    • Amazing bleach but be careful
This bleach is the best I’ve tried. I’ve used it several times with and without ion absolute perfection booster and I will definitely say please use with some kind of booster like olaplex or ion. It does have bonding agents within the bleach but it’ll still damage your hair for sure. Not as bad as other bleaches but if you care about the integrity of your hair add the extra protection to your bleach. Also highly recommend doing olaplex no 3 after any bleaching service to get your hair back to the condition it was. ... show more
