Description

The Schumacher Electric DSR ProSeries INC100 is a high-performance, professional-grade 12V battery charger and power supply engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern automotive service environments. Whether you're performing ECU flash reprogramming, conducting diagnostics, or maintaining showroom vehicles, the INC100 delivers consistent, clean power and advanced functionality that technicians and service managers can rely on. At the heart of the INC100 is its versatile three-mode operation: Flash Reprogram Mode provides a stable, selectable output of 70 to 100 amps, ensuring uninterrupted voltage during sensitive ECU and module reprogramming. This mode is essential for preventing voltage drops that could corrupt software updates or damage vehicle electronics. Service Mode maintains a constant 13.5-volt output, ideal for supporting battery voltage during extended diagnostics, vehicle servicing, or showroom display. It prevents battery drain while preserving system memory and avoiding DTC resets. Boost Mode delivers a quick surge of energy—up to 14.4 volts—to revive deeply discharged or large-capacity batteries, reducing downtime and improving turnaround efficiency. The INC100 also functions as a battery tester, with built-in diagnostics that assess battery condition and voltage in real time. The digital display provides clear, accurate readouts of voltage and amperage, while intuitive controls allow for quick mode selection and voltage adjustments. Designed for durability and ease of use, the INC100 features a heavy-duty aluminum housing, dual cooling fans for thermal regulation, and 4-gauge, 10-foot booster cables with high-quality clamps and an Anderson connector for secure, high-current connections. The reverse polarity protection system includes an audible alarm and visual indicator to prevent accidental damage from incorrect clamp placement. Installation is simple thanks to adjustable mounting brackets, allowing the unit to be securely attached to shop lifts, workstations, or mobile carts. The 9-foot AC power cord ensures flexibility in placement, while the compact footprint makes it easy to integrate into any professional workspace. Compatible with a wide range of 12V battery types—including lead-acid, AGM, calcium, start-stop, and gel cell—the INC100 is ideal for use with cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, ATVs, and marine vehicles. Whether you're managing a dealership, a repair shop, or a fleet service center, the Schumacher INC100 is the ultimate solution for stable power delivery, battery maintenance, and high-demand automotive applications. • 1 year review of battery charger
I am an extremely satisfied customer and would recommend this charger to anyone. I purchased this battery charger about 1 year ago, and have waited until now to post a review because I did not want to mislead anyone. I can safely say this is one of the best products available on the market. PROS: Accurate power display Versatile charging settings Compact design for easier storage and relocation solutions Large low gauge wiring for both the charger leads and electrical outlet plug High volume twin ventilation fans and heat dissipating fins on body CONS: Battery clamping jaws may be too large for some applications Somewhat hard to understand automatic charging logic No cranking assist Working in a dealership, the shop provided chargers were completely unreliable and had no advanced charging functions. All it took was one failed charger mid programming, and I ended up spending 3-4 hours to fix a job that ended up paying 0.6 hours. I then decided that was enough and I needed to buy a heavy duty charger of my own. I wanted something compact that could fit in my tool box drawer for security reasons, and to make sure nobody would use it when I wasn't around. I also needed something with flash program functions to keep the voltage steady. This charger answered every need of mine and more. I am not sure who is the real manufacturer of this charger, but I have seen it rebranded under OTC and other automotive specific tool brands. It also uses a very similar charger function interface as the roll around Snapon EEBC500 unit, which is what drew me to this charger. But this charger's main advantage is the flash programming mode which allows the user to set the voltage from 13.0V and higher and the charger will automatically adjust amperage to suit, from 0 to as much as 70 amps. The large fans keep this unit cool which will aid in it's life and the low gauge wiring appears very strong and will hold up. There are sometimes the jaws will not fit on the battery itself and can only be used on the jump start terminals, so depending on different vehicles this may be an issue but it has not been for me as nearly all of the vehicles in the brand I work for have jump start terminals. It is likely possible to switch out the jaws anyhow. One odd thing is the automatic charging function which sometimes I don't understand. I am not sure if it uses the battery's internal resistance or is aiming for 12.6 volts 15.0 volts or what the case is, however I am confident it will not overcharge and "cook" a battery if left alone for hours. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, it is a tool that I feel is reliable and will last a long time as I use it almost everyday. Many technicians in the shop I work ask where I got the charger from as they can see by the build and functions this is a high quality product. Amazon has the most competitive price I found around and the purchase went smooth. ... show more

  • Great product!
Style: Newer Model Pattern Name: Charger
This battery charger/flash programmer works great. It has a nice forum factor, quality cables, and an easy to understand interface. The noise from the cooling fans aren’t intrusive to me, but I can see why some people consider them loud. Don’t let that deter you. I’ve used this for Porsche PIWIS programming and it did what I needed it to do without issue. ... show more

  • Fits the bill for vehicle coding, but it's also an awesome charger
I got this primarily to do some coding on my BMW. I am an enthusiast, not a professional, so it was a bit of a splurge (though if you think in money saved by not going to dealer, I still came out *way* ahead.) Anyway, it worked very well for that. You can actually monitor the amperage draw which I found rather neat. But I found another way that I can get a return on investment with this and it is properly charging/recovering batteries for longer life. I had a previous "Die Hard" smart charger and it was fine for simple charging if you are patient. But, I have a few motorcycles and even on maintainers, I've had battery issues from not always riding them very often. I had a rather expensive Odyssey battery that had seemed to of "died". Wouldn't take a charge on the smart charger, wouldn't hold a charger after jumping the bike, yet it really wasn't that old as far as that type of battery is concerned. I threw it on this bad boy and listened to the fan go up and down as the machine did all kinds of cycles for hours. I assumed this was the desulfation program or something. But, the battery seems to be happy again though we'll see if it continues to hold out. That right there saved me from chucking a 2-year old Odyssey battery and replacing it with another though which is more money saved. I might just get in the routine of regularly hooking this up to my more sedentary vehicles to make sure they keep a good charge and healthy condition. ... show more

  • A professional unit at a killer price
A professional charger and clean power unit. I'm a heavy duty diagnostic specialist. I do allot of reprogramming I can set the voltage and not worry about it when re-flashing a module. The charger side is great, connect it, set it, and it takes care of it self. No more resetting a timer and worrying about over charging a battery. Just a update,I've had this charger for over a year now, I've had no issues with it. Second update, January 2016, I'm still using the charger. A co-worker borrowed it and accidentally connected it backwards to recharge a battery didn't hurt it bit. It still works just like new. I noticed the price has gone up quite a bit from what I paid but it's still a good deal. ... show more

  • GAME ACHANGER
Style: Newer Model Pattern Name: Charger
Game Changer! Finally a name brand battery maintainer that supports module programming at a much better price point! Dealership has 20 plus year old Midtronic units that now longer meet amperage / voltage requirements necessary for programming, and they cost more than twice as much... other newer units available though GM Tools for dealers cost $1100.00 to $1400.00 ! This unit is larger than expected, but all aspects are heavy duty and appear well built. ... show more

  • Perfect charger for programming and coding. VERY stable voltage supply in a portable design. DEAD AFTER 6 MONTHS
Ultra high quality charger! This unit has no trouble supplying all the current needed to program BMW's and other vehicles. VERY stable voltage when using programming mode. Charging modes seem to work as expected! It is lighter than I anticipated and easily portable. The cables are high flex type which makes it easier to gather them up after a job. Also, the cables are long enough to easily reach any vehicles battery terminals while the charger is on the ground. UPDATE March 11th 2016 - A few days ago i powered this charger up and the lights seemed to be acting funny.... NO output. Its dead. Called Schumacher and paid $60 to send it back. I anticipate they will send me a repaired unit, but I'm unable to complete the job i was working on for two weeks at best. Don't know if i will trust it for programming after this. ... show more

  • Great, Proven, Battery Charger Plus it has Constant Voltage Option
The good side Been Using it for more then 2 Years without any MAJOR Hick-ups, Even SnapOn Mac Matco and many other major tool suppliers only recommend Schumacher but when they do, they just change Sticker with their own brand MANY MAJOR Dealerships are use Schumacher as well (i seen on many different dealer lots) The bad side Clamps are CHEAP, for a first 1~2 months they where straight and on 3rd month of using it, clamps are not longer closing straight The wires that are coming out of main box are not fully seated and making me worry of moving in and out of box, where the hole is located Side Note When "Programming / Constant Voltage" option is been used it ALWAYS deviates from Displayed values Example 13.6V in reality cars show as 13.1 ~ 2V or 14V will show as 13.7 ~ 8V So it always looses 0.2 ~ 0.3 Volts in between ***I am not a professional product influencer therefore your miles may vary due to circumstances*** ... show more
