Excellent. At first the thick leather needs some time to adjust; as expected, it is a little too hard and needs some wearing down before you become comfortable with it. The first few deadlifting and squatting days it did dig into my ribs but the more I wore it the better it adjusted. Over time with heavy lifts the leaver does loosen so you do have to retighten the screws on the inside, maybe once every couple of months. This is a great product and it provides excellent core support. It allowed me to feel comfortable enough to attempt 4 plate squats without a spotter. Best way I can explain it is that it provides you support and security where you had none before. It forces my back straight and supports it in my heavy lifts as I go down. Rep after rep it's there and prevents me from incorrect posture. It helped me push past my plateaues. It passed all my expectations and personal requirements I had for it. I would buy this again but I suspect I will never need to.

I have used many types of weight/power lifting belts in the last few year and the "Schiek Lever Competition Power Lifting Belt is by far the most superior belt I have used. It's comfortable, durable and functionally designed well. I have literally increased my lifting weight capacity by at least 15% within the few weeks i have been using it. Perhaps the most important thing for me when using the belt is the added assurance of safety and protection i feel when I am lifting with the belt on. I'm 61 years young and don't take heavy weight nor my back for granted. Of course, the quick release is what I appreciate the most; nothing like immediate air after a heavy lift. I'm glad I became aware of this type of belt and intend to use it exclusively from now on.

After owning the belt for a year.... It serves it purpose as a lever belt. DO NOT recommend for typical gym use. Schiek makes amazing products. This is specifically for powerlifting. It would have gotten 5 stars, but -belt cuts into inguinal area when squatting deep. -you will have to be on top of maintenance *Screws will need to be replaced after 4-5 adjustments of lever (due to waist size fluctuations). * Belt leather materials could have been made with more leather and less corklike material.

I purchased the belt as I prepared for a Power Lifting competition. It felt great and really secure. One of the screws kept coming lose and I ended up just keeping a screwdriver in my bag to tighten it when necessary. USAPL does not allow advertising if the company doesn't pay, so to solve that problem, I simply put a piece of black duct tape over the name. Someone else must have really liked my belt too, because it was stolen! However, my name is written on the inside, so they will always know that they took it from someone else. I am buying another, I liked it so much.

I have used a belt for heavy lifts only for the last 20 years. My previous normal buckle belt finally wore out and I decided to replace it with a lever closing belt. First of all I wear 33" waist jeans and ended up purchasing the medium size. After a bit of adjusting following a few workouts, the lever ended up right in the middle of the adjustment holes. I didnt mind paying more for the quality Schiek name brand because I always will buy a product with the idea "you get what you pay for". I expect this belt to last me another 20 years.

I bought this belt for some casual power lifting i get into from time to time. This belt holds secure and is amazingly comfortable all things considered. I like the lever lock because it lets you have a good tight secure feel while lifting and then between sets or lifts you can undo the lever and breathe normally without taking the belt off all the way. The quality of this belt it very very good as is to be expected from Schiek, and i really like that it is made in the USA

Bad a** belt. Locks down tight and easy to loosen between sets. Usually just use it for heavy squats and deadlifts. I suppose you can put the lever in the back for cleans and snatches but I don't really feel like I need a belt for those exercises. Worth the money....seems like this is the type of belt you leave in your will. Built to last.
