We now own induction burners on our RV as well as a new ceramic glass stove at home. We gave away an 18 piece aluminum Calphalon cookware set and purchased this 10 piece Scanpan Haptiq set on Amazon to add to a couple of Scanpan Haptiq pans we already owned. The Scanpan Haptiq (in particular) is a 5-ply 18/10 stainless steel pan draping an aluminum core and manufactured in Denmark. This means that it has superior even heating + a patented Stratanium (safe and durable) non-stick feature + easy to clean polished exterior + handles that stay amazingly cool (even after frying 9 lbs of chicken breasts!) I have been using Scanpan Haptiq for more than 2 years, and can't imagine finding anything better for someone who cooks a lot and actually enjoys cooking. I compared Scanpan Haptiq with all the features of a 5 ply Viking set -- and the only difference I found was a heftier price for Viking. I will add that one of the lids of the set I purchased had a tiny dent in the metal cover of one pan, but I chose to live with it. Scanpan Haptiq pans are not cheap, but IMO they offer extraordinary quality for lifetime value. ... show more

I ordered this Scanpan Set last July 2022 for our second home in Colorado. Unfortunately, I did not open the box until May 2023 and discovered that both of the 10.25 inch glass lids rimmed by metal had dents in them. One lid even had two dents! How did something like this escape Scanpan’s quality control ? I reached out to Scanpan as instructed by Amazon because the return window had expired. Scanpan would do nothing for me. I even sent them pictures of both lids. The dents were such that they could not have even occurred if I dropped he lids on the floor, so the dents occurred during manufacturing. I am mostly angry with Scanpan for not standing behind their product. What kind of a warranty do they really offer, because it’s been less than a year since purchase. I will not buy another Scanpan in the future and I do think that Amazon should discontinue selling their products! ... show more

    • Top quality, although very heavy.
My wife and I are very please with the quality of these pans! The only downside is that they are very heavy. That's actually a good thing in many ways - These pans retain heat for a long time. Once I get the Dutch oven up to a boil with water, I can put the pan on medium heat and it will continue to maintain a boil throughout cooking. I have no other pans that can do that! Like I said though - It's a bit of a downside still. Handling the pans is a little hard for my wife who is a little older because of their heaviness. You also have to be careful not to burn yourself for quite a while after they've come off the stove because of how long they maintain their heat. ... show more

I was delighted to receive my set of Scanpan cookware. It’s heavier than my old Calphalon, but ergonomic handles make it easier to manage the weight. They clean like a dream!! It takes a bit longer to heat them up but they cook evenly. A top was broken on receipt and they sent a new one in 4 days! Great PR!! Everyone I spoke with was courteous and eager to help.     • These are the bomb for induction cooktop
We purchased scan pan nonstick frying pan 5 years ago for induction cooktop and has been great. These IQ level pots appear to have even better non-stick surface and are polished. We replaced our entire cookware set with this set. Yes, worth the money.

Good stuff I love these posts But if your week in hands these pots are super heavy! I love that but some might not. Also when you use the scratchy side if a sponge it will scratch the polish on the pots which was upsetting so just be careful
