Replacing our worn out Classic with MANY years of service on it (had finally started to stick when cooking fish, etc.) I was happy to see this model was still available. Surprised when I opened it up to see that the "plaid/checkerboard" pattern on the cooking surface was no longer there. Took just the first salmon filet to realize the current non-stick coating is GREAT. As fans of the Classic have experienced, it distributes heat evenly, doesn't stick (unless you insist on using it for 20 years!) and is SO easy to clean. The plastic handle is easy to grip and feels very secure, the cooking surface for a 10" pan is spacious, and the pan always feels balanced and easy to handle. Brings a smile to my face when I cook with it.

I have the 12 ½" non-induction skillet. I love this skillet! I have had it for 2 years and use it nearly every day. About 2 weeks ago everything started to stick. Knowing they have a lifetime warranty, I called the manufacturer today. They told me that usually if the skillets start to stick its because it needs to be deep cleaned. They emailed me very specific instructions to do this (very easy) and much to my surprise, they were right! My favorite skillet is back in service with no more sticking problems. I highly recommend this skillet!

This a fabulous pan, as it should be for the price. Very solid. I like the Bakelite handle better than the hollow stainless steel of the CRX series, but that's me. Nothing to complain about, except my pocketbook. Although Scanpans last a lifetime, it seems, so I shouldn't whine.

I’d have given 5 stars because I adored this pan. I had to deduct because it’s super expensive and the non-stick didn’t last. I bought it in 2020 and have hand washed it 99% of the time with a soft sponge. It’s gone in the top shelf of the dishwasher maybe 5 times in the last 3 years when I just felt I needed to sanitize. At this point I need to cook with oil because it’s no longer non-stick. For that much money I think I’ll look for something more durable.

A perfect pan for frying eggs with just a tiny bit of oil, bacon drippings or butter. Other items saute evenly and slide around the pan. Put it right into water while it's still warm and the food comes right off of it. My only disappointment is that it did not come with the lid, and for that price I would have thought it would. I highly recommend this cookware. I have pieces of this that are over 20 years old and still working very well.

I've had this cookware for a few months now and I like them. I switched from Analon to stainless steel and just couldn't get used to the heavy, stainless steel. My impressions of Scanpan: 1) They feel a heavier quality than Analon (I had 2 sets of Analon in the past 19 years and was very happy with each of them. Eventually the nonstick surface chips as they all do, and this was an anniversary present). 2) I prefer a non-stick surface for 99% of my cooking. I have no problem browning meats, though I do not typically put these into the oven, though I believe they are heat safe up to 450 degrees. I use my outdoor grill if I want to sear anything or my broiler pan in the oven. 3) The handles stay cool to touch while on the gas range. This is important now that my kids are cooking--mac and cheese should require a muscle man to lift the pan or a trip to the ER for 3rd degrees burns. 4) I like the glass lids so there is no boil over. I also like the button style knobs vs. a D shaped handle so I can flip the lids and store them with the related pot. 5) I've never had saucepans with pour spouts--very handy. This can be a bummer for steaming though. I wish there was a 2 qt straight walled pot in clouded in this set, The 3 qt covered saucepan is almost too big. I kept my 1 qt covered saucepan from the analog set, and this seems to fill in some gaps. My verdict so far is that the pans perform extremely well, and clean up like a breeze. I do not put my cookware in the dishwasher. I would certainly recommend this brand to anyone who prefers to cook with non-stick cookware. I'd also recommend this as a great beginner set. I would fill in with a wok pan, a large stock pot, a few straight walled saucepans, and a metal steamer insert. As a FYI, this set is NOT compatible with induction cooking but scan an does make a separate line for that.
