For the features and the Ultegra Di2 components it’s an incredible value…you can’t find this level of quality anywhere else for anywhere near the price. It's a great looking bike and I've received a lot of complements on it. I purchased this SAVA road bicycle through Amazon after considering several other full carbon competitor brands such as Canyon, Trek and Specialized. Although a concern buying directly from China with no local support is parts availability and potentially no local dealer repair, although most bike shops are very competent in working on Shimano. There isn’t a plethora of SAVA SLR8 reviews online, so here is what I have so far: Once purchased, the seller reached out to me through the Amazon customer forum to confirm the selected frame size based upon my height and inseam measurements, which I appreciated. It's a huge risk buying an expensive bike that you haven't test driven. The seller was responsive, answering some additional technical questions and allowing me to order some spare spokes that I could not find on the SAVA website. Ordered 9 May 2026 and it took exactly three weeks (21 days) to arrive on my doorstep in Ohio. Unclear if the bike shipped from directly from China -or- their warehouse in Ontario California. Pretty impressive if it did come from China particularly with the current tariff situation. The tracking available on Amazon yielded a FedEx tracking number from Ontario but it didn’t work properly – it wouldn’t “go live” until the package was received in Ontario it said. I was checking the tracking daily. According to the FedEx #, the package hadn't even reached Ontario and then the box unexpectedly appeared on my doorstep late one night and didn’t even require a signature, which honestly is disconcerting considering the $3K value. When the bike arrived, the shipping box was seriously crushed on one end. But the care taken to pack the bike for the long journey was evident - all frame, fork, wheel and handlebar pieces were wrapped in foam padding and cardboard sleeves; secured with zip ties and there was also a pretty substantial piece of industrial grade bubble wrap in the shipping container too. It was definitely well packaged and protected. Despite the crushed box the bike arrived unscathed with no scratches or chips, and the paint job is immaculate. A testament to how well the seller packages their product. The pictures don’t do justice to the paint job - the turquoise and black finish is deep and rich in color. Truly beautiful and well done. I cannot tell if the metallic silver “SAVA” on the side of the bike is a sticker or painted on. But the bike looks amazing! The SLR8 came 90% assembled, and there is a video available online that was extremely helpful as the manual that comes with the bike is definitely lacking in both clear instructions and diagrams. Their SAVA “owner’s manual” leaves much to be desired and lacks a lot of detail and standard information that one would expect from an owner's manual. What came with the bike is just a few pages translated in English and the bare minimum to accomplish the final assembly. There is no information regarding maintenance (other than torque settings), lubrication, or rider adjustments. There are no recommendations on seat height setup. Also, there are no Shimano Di2 Specific component manuals included for any of the installed Shimano Ultegra components. It is simply a generic assembly instruction booklet for their road, vbrake and mountain bikes. I could not find a serial number anywhere on the bike, although there is a QR code on the bottom under the crankset. At all the critical points on the bike where you make adjustments and fasten bolts (such as the handlebar stem, seat post, axles) there are printed torque limit values which is a nice feature. Recommendation: The SAVA “owner’s manual” manual could be improved upon, especially in identifying parts as well as including a model-specific “specifications sheet” list for future reference years down the road, such as: Rear Derailleur SHIMANO Ultegra RD-R8150, 12-SPEED Front Derailleur SHIMANO Ultegra FD-R8150, 12-SPEED, CS-ANGLE: 61-66, GEAR: 50-54T, CL: 43.5MM Crankset: SHIMANO Ultegra FC-R8100, 12-SPEED, 2, 170MM, 50-34T Cassette: SHIMANO Ultegra CS-R8101, 12-SPEED, 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30-34T Shifters: SHIMANO Ultegra ST-R8170 Brakes: SHIMANO Ultegra BR-R8170, Hydraulic disc brake Chain: SHIMANO CN-M8100, 110 L, 12-SPEED Wheels: Carbon Fiber, W45 Wave Wheels; compatible with tubeless tires Rotors: SHIMANO RT-CL800, SS 140MM I copied these specs off the SAVA website/Amazon sale page because down the road if components need to be repaired/replaced this information is critical to get the correct parts and manuals, particularly with all of the iterations of Shimano components out there. Recommendation: it would be useful in the owner's manual if SAVA included a model specific spare parts list with part numbers, particularly for replacement spokes, axles, the chain, the rims, the seat post clamp, etc. I could not find those items on the SAVA website either. I also did not see any information presented in the owner's manual regarding the warranty terms. As mentioned in the available online YouTube assembly video (Google How to assemble the SAVA Di2 carbon road bike?), the battery for the Di2 front and rear derailleurs is in the seat post and requires hooking up the wire leads. All of the wiring is already done on the bike with the exception of connecting the battery. There are three ports on the seat post battery but two derailleur wires – make sure at least one lead goes into the center port and that a dummy plug is inserted into the unused port. You will have to charge the Di2 derailleur internal battery (BT-DN300) is in the seat post first – it takes about three hours with the supplied USB cable plugging into the rear derailleur. The wireless front shifters came with the CR1632 button batteries already installed. Also, I had to download the Shimano E-Tube App and connect it to my Di2 system, as well as download a firmware update for the rear derailleur. (Again, nowhere mentioned in the "owner's manual") Once these steps were complete the shifter worked well right out of the box without any alignment or fine tuning required (yet). If you are new to wireless Di2 technology, that part took the longest for me to accomplish and figure out during assembly. Here is a good resource (Google Better Shifting - Di2 Cheat Sheets - what do those LEDs mean?). The SAVA Bike owner’s manual is of absolutely no help in this regard, however there are plenty of resources available online to learn about and micro- adjust the Shimano derailleurs if needed. When questioned, the seller indicated that their stock Knight Carbon rims are suitable for tubeless tires (note that they do not have TR or TLR markings on the rims nor a sticker to say tubeless compatible); I read somewhere online that even though branded “Knight” that these rims are not to be confused with the actual Knight brand carbon fiber company. Whatever the case, the rims are super lightweight, strong and good quality. For my application I immediately replaced the stock Continental tires and mounted Schwalbe Marathon Plus 700Cx32 road tires and used Cadence TPU tubes at 63 PSI. There was already good rim tape supplied on the rims. There is ample fork and frame clearance with the 700Cx32 tire size. The rims and brake discs arrived totally true with no wobble and the hydraulic brakes were smooth and crisp with no adjustments needed right out of the box. Everything is mounted and hooked up, all you need to do is some minimal assembly and connect two Di2 wires to the battery. The buildup of the headset and stem took me the longest. The handlebar tape is minimal but well done. First Impressions Disclaimer: I am a recreational rider and do not race or ride in large groups; my riding is mostly solo flat riding on back country roads in Ohio averaging 18-24 mph on 20-mile rides. I haven't ridden this bike on longer distance rides yet. I've been riding and maintaining (my own) road bikes for 22 years. During my first test ride on the SLR8 I experienced a wicked stiff crosswind (12 knots) and I will testify that the “wave” design of the Knight high profile carbon rims combined with the aero design of the carbon forks and flat-top tube performed incredibly well in the winds. With the 700Cx32 tires the bike handled the gravel shoulders and rougher Ohio country roads very comfortably. The geometry of the bike felt good to me and the carbon supported me well (I'm 6'0 and 285lbs (Frame size ordered was 52)). It felt extremely comfortable in the seating position, ride and especially the dampening/shock absorption offered by full carbon. The handlebar width felt appropriate and the grips felt good, although unlike my old road bike these flat aero handlebars are fixed position and non-adjustable. There is a noticeable weight difference between this full carbon bike and my old aluminum bike, and I do think that combined with Ultegra components contributes to being able to ride faster on this bike with less effort. There is plenty of height adjustment range with the seat post. The seat tilt is adjustable, but the saddle tilt setup is a little different than what I've seen before. The Hydraulic Disc Braking is smooth and modulated; this is my first bike without v brakes. And the Ultegra Di2 is an amazing upgrade. You will not be disappointed with the SAVA’s Ultegra components or the crisp handling; I'd rate the ride comfort as a huge improvement with the full carbon and blade design. SAVA did a good job overall designing and engineering the SLR8 road bike. Hopefully SAVA will take my recommendations onboard for improving/enhancing their owner's manual with greater detail and information, and in the future expand model-specific replacement parts availability on their manufacturer website.

The blue and black bike frame colors are visually appealing. This Sava bike is very lightweight at 17 lbs. and all of the cables are hidden inside the bike frame. This full carbon fiber road bike comes with full ultegra groupset and hydraulic disc brakes which is the best groupset for long lasting durability at $2k less than dura ace groupsets. I will will be adding clipless pedals in the future once I convert my previous sava bike back to a gravel off road bike again. This new sava bike will be my road bike for many years to come. I highly recommend the Sava bike brand as this is my 3rd bike I have purchased from them them over the years. The Sava bikes a full carbon fiber and built to last as I bike all year long no matter the weather. I will continue to stick with the sava bike brand as their bike designs are impressive and great value for avid cyclist like myself.

This is my first new bike in over 25 years. I have really liked riding the bike. The only things that I have been having issues are, getting the rear derailleur perfect so it doesn't slip gears. It first wasn't going into the first or eleventh gears. With some youtube videos I figured out how to fix that issue It also seems like the crank is a little tight as the crank arm has resistance when spinning it backwards. I'll somehow have to loosen it a little so it moves easier. If I had to do it all over again, I still would purchase from this company.

My local bike shops all charge over $2,000 for one with a carbon fiber frame, so this is a great bargain. It arrived weeks early and didn't have a scratch. The only fault I've seen so far is one wheel was out of tune. The appearance is a little disappointing because I thought the light gray and red in the picture really popped, but the bike came with a dark gray. Other than these minor things I'm really enjoying the bike.
