I got this mainly to use with my kid on clear nights, just something simple to look at the moon and maybe a few bright stars. Setup was easier than I expected, and we were able to get it ready pretty quickly without needing much experience. It’s also lightweight, so moving it around the yard isn’t a problem. In actual use, it works well for basic viewing. The moon looks pretty clear, and you can see some surface detail which was exciting for us the first time. It does take a little adjusting to get things in focus, especially for beginners, but after a few tries it gets easier. The tripod works fine but you have to be a bit gentle when adjusting it. Overall, it’s a fun and simple option for getting started without spending too much.
