I have never owned a “trench” coat but have known for years that it is considered a wardrobe staple. I am 5’6” 117 lbs and bought size S in black. I love it! It’s heavy weight and the material is soft and feels to be of quality. I absolutely hate the plaid interior lining, I thought it would be the reason I’d return it, but I removed the hood and now you can’t see the lining! I would probably rarely use the hood anyway. The belt and belt loops do sit too high as other reviews mentioned, but it’s not a deal breaker. The belt is more up around my rib cage, not my waist. It looks ok! I love this coat and it is big enough to wear over winter sweaters! The sleeves are also long enough which is always a plus. It is a bit boxy but since when is a trench coat supposed to be super figure flattering? I’m going to wear this to work at my office everyday this fall! Love it! ... show more

I Like this coat. The material is good. It appears to be well made. I also like the medium weight of the coat. it's a good fall coat. The outer material has a slight shine or sheen which I assume will allow it to be relatively waterproof. The belt is above my waistline which feels a bit odd. But I can make it work. It does have a nice thin inner lining. Overall, I do like it. However, it arrived very wrinkled. But once I steam out the wrinkles it should be fine, however I will be very careful when washing as it obviously does wrinkle. Which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. ... show more

I am so impressed with this jacket! Right out of the box it was substantial weight so I knew that it was good quality material before I even took it out of the bag. Then when I did get it out, I was even more pleasantly surprised! The material is the quality of more expensive, name brand jackets. It’s very soft but sturdy for a rain jacket. Doesn’t feel rubbery or plastic at all. The inner lining is really soft as well. And I love the contrasting red plaid color. It is a bit heavier than I was expecting, but definitely still a lightweight rain jacket. It seems like it’s going to hold up well and do a good job keeping me dry. As far as sizing, I am in between a large and extra large, so I ordered the XL, because I would want it to be a little bigger rather than too small. However, the XL looks a little too oversized for my liking, so I am going to return for a large. If you’re going for the oversized look, go ahead and size up one. But if you want a more fitted, tailored look, you would be fine with ordering your normal size. The fabric feels high-quality and the fit is true to size, but I was hoping the lining would be tan and blue plaid. I received the red & tan plaid lining. My other issue with the jacket is that the sleeves are wide so it looks a little sloppy on me. I would have kept it if those two things were different. ... show more

Finally ordered...very well made and great materials. My only negative is the size chart, which I found confusing. LOVE THIS COAT. BUY IT. I’m 5’ 2 1/2 inches tall and 127lbs. 36C. Athletic build. The Medium fit perfectly. Love: -Slightly oversized hood to cover all of my hair. -Option to tie or button -Length is NOT mid-thigh causing stepping and walking in the rain to splash on the back of my thighs/butt. Length is thoroughly to my knees preventing that step splatter that happens with wait/hip/thigh length coats. -Light lining. Beautiful plaid. Heavy enough to keep me warm in high AC rooms in FL but doesn’t cause me to sweat. -Pockets are perfectly angled at my hips and deep enough for cellphone, keys, etc -I can wear it open without the tie strap falling if I just loosely loop the ties on each side twice thru the side loop holes. ... show more
