I realized recently that I've purchased 3 sets of these lights. I first got them to put lights on our outdoor railing for Christmas with some greenery. They looked great! In fact, we liked the light it gave so much we left them all yr, minus the garlands. I bought one set for my mother-in-law's house. And another for our back porch at a new house. I realized they've now been there for 3 years...in the weather, the rain, the heat, the cold, the rain and still every bulb working. That's amazing! I know what you're thinking, LED Christmas lights are the worst. And for the most part, you'd be right. But these lights will change your opinion of how good an LED light can actually look. They are a true warm tone, like they look like incandescent bulbs. They actually produce a nice white light that isn't ugly to look at. And then at night they cast a glow throughout your house that is warm and nice and very Christmasy. And best of all, they have zero flicker. Even when you cast your eyes across the lights, or they catch your eye in the corner, where your eyes can be more sensitive to flickering, there is no flicker. The various settings are great too, flow soft glow to twinkle etc. The remote works great. And they have timer mode where they turn on and off automatically so you can just leave them plugged in all the time. Great length too and you can attach them end to end for even longer runs. We bought several sets to cover multiple trees. They look fantastic. I've tried several other LED bulbs, and like others have said, these are the ones to get if your particular about the white balance of your Christmas lights. They aren't necessarily cheap though, compared to what you can buy for $2.99 at your local brick and mortar store, but man they are worth it. ... show more

Sorry for the photo also having my other multicolor lights up (from Target!). These are great for my intended purpose-- for whatever reason it's really hard to find twinkly and/or slow glowing lights. These worked great for the cost, some of those get expensive! I truly wish they had these in a white wire instead of green as they'd be great for general decoration as well, but I digress. They worked all season I had the tree up and I will look forward to seeing how they last when the tree is brought back out. ... show more

I bought these lights as a complete replacement for an older set of LED lights I no longer trusted or could replace. Overall, I'm happy. The bulbs themselves are much smaller than most LED "button" lights, and they're consequently not quite as bright. They're also yellower, trending a bit orange, compared to other warm white LED's, so be cautious. (Brightness and color were not an issue for me, but I definitely couldn't mix these and old strands on a given bush.) The wires themselves are thinner than other LED strands and they remain surprisingly flexible even in cold weather. The 2-prong plug is large due to the flashing options and built-in timer (neither of which I'm using). The versatility appears when you link strands together. There is a long "leader" wire that runs from the 2-prong plug to where the lights begin. This leader can be unscrewed at both the plug and the start of the lights and removed, allowing the 2-prong plug to start right at the lights if desired. When linking strands, stands are not connected using the standard male/female 2-prong electrical plug. Instead, a cap is unscrewed from the round female plug at the end of the first strand, and the next strand is attached using a round male plug at the start of the second strand and cinched together with the end of the first strand using a threaded retaining nut. This makes the connection robust and water-tight. Of course, the standard 2-prong electrical plug and initial leader (without lights) should be removed from the second strand, which results in a continuous flow of lights from the first strand to the second. (For most LED strands, linking 2 strands together leaves a gap in lights of 18-24" caused by that initial leader on the second strand.) This light spacing continuity from one strand to the next is a really nice feature. It does, however, mean there is a lot of waste: I have five strands linked together, meaning I have four 2-prong plugs and four leaders I'm not using. This may end up being nice if rabbits end up chewing through the initial leader on low-hanging strands--I've got plenty of replacements! They recommend only linking 5 strands max. I've linked as many as 6 with no issues, while most LED strands allow for linking of 20 or more. Maybe the recommendation here of only 5 is due to the flashing options? Overall, if you don't mind the slightly dimmer lights and yellow/orange-ish color, I would recommend these lights. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought these for a Grinch themed off road vehicle Christmas parade. They didn’t pull a lot of voltage, which was great for our purpose! They were bright and lightweight. I loved the option to select which light pattern you wanted. I really enjoy these lights, the bulbs are small, but they put out a lot of light. The fact that you can use the remote to change from multiple settings is great, as my kids love the rainbow lights, and I prefer the white for a more sophisticated look during adult get-togethers! I also didn’t realize this until they arrived, but they plug together nicely so I was able to string three together for my 9 foot tree. It’s really nice to not have to run multiple cords down to the plug. The only reason I didn’t give these five stars is that the remote only works if you have a direct line of site to it, and you have to be fairly close. Where my tree is pretty much blocking the outlet, the remote is rendered useless unless I reach around the back of the tree so that it is pointing directly at the base where it plugs into the wall. ... show more
