I purchased three of these for ESXi boot drives for my home lab. They worked very well and the speed was excellent for the USB drive. I chose these for their rated speed. While I didn't perform any testing on I installed ESXi 6.7 and 7.0 on them and booted many times as I was working with the software. I had additional SSD and NVME drives so ESXi moved the higher I/O logging and swapping to the other drives to reduce the write fatique on these USB drives. Great for transferring large files (I use this as a medium for bulk processing RAWs and TIFs in photography). Sequential read speeds approach external SSD level, and Sequential Write is honestly nothing to frown at for a flash drive. Average Sequential write speeds, but I am happy that it isn't outright bad. This is already significantly better than, say, a regular non-SSD external drive (~150% faster sequential read than some of my non-SSDs). ... show more

Wonderful sd drive to have. Honestly, it works very fast and is probably one of the fastest sd drives I bought so far. Although, one thing to state is that it is small, and be aware of that. If you are going to only have it somewhere where you aren't going to struggle taking it out or hidden then I highly recommend it. Great little drive with an amazing speed. The speed heavily depends on the computer. On my old PC with USB 3.0, I'm only getting ~100MB/S read speed, but on the new laptop with USB 3.1, it's going all way up to 400MB/S
