    • Amazing!! You'd never know it was refurbished if they didn't tell you.
Bought this tablet for my mother because she loves to borrow my Tab s6 to watch movies and google recipes ever since her Tab s2 stopped working. She probably would have been ok with the Tab s6 lite, but for the same price and better specs a refurbished Tab s5e just made more sense. It didn't arrive in its original packaging nor come with any Samsung branded accessories like a charger, headphone dongle adapter, or quick start guide and warranty. The off-market charger and cable it did come with works fine, although it's not a fast charger. It even came with a sim ejection tool. No micro SD card in my package as I see some may have received. The tablet itself looks new and performs like new. No scratches or dents. Snappy response to tasks. It also arrived in 2 days. Much sooner than what Amazon predicted (free shipping selected). Except for the processor, lack of S-pen support, and on-board memory and RAM, this tablet is just like my Tab s6. Beautiful metal design. Thin bezels. Great quad speakers. Gorgeous SUPER AMOLED display. I loaded it up with all the streaming apps, social media apps, DIY home decor apps, a remote viewing security camera app, and photos and videos of her grandchildren and it still had plenty of storage left. Still inserted a 256Gb micro SD card because this tablet is so much better than her phone in every way and I can easily see her filling this up with more pics of the grandchildren, vacation memories, music, her whole life, etc. Here's to hoping this tablet lasts her a few years. May update this post if I notice anything to rave or complain about. P.S. The issue of the Tab s5e losing wifi when you hold it's lower left-hand corner in landscape mode with the camera on the left side is a design flaw you only notice if you GRIP THAT PARTICULAR CORNER like your life depended on it. When I did I only lost one bar, but it didn't effect the performance of the tablet at all. I can see how this might be an issue while playing certain games... just rotate the tablet or get a wireless controller. Voila! ... show more

    • Works just like a tablet should
I got the 128gb version, __________ PROS: +Despite being renewed, it was just like new - no scratches or anything; the only "problem" was that the manuals weren't in the box. So it was essentially like I got a huge price cut. +Battery lasts for days (I do only reading and note taking, with some light video watching) +It's thinness makes it feel great in the hand. + I love the screen bezels and screen to body ratio +Wonderful display + Barely use speakers but they seem decent, especially for a tablet __________ CONS : - As a lover of privacy the requirement for accepting Samsung's "Customization service" to use the tablet is disappointing (will update if this "feature" had a cut off option in the system settings) ... show more

    • Seriously good tablet
So, overall this tablet is great. Everything came like new: the tablet itself, original box, USB C to 3.5mm adapter that works with tablet, original fast charging wall adapter with USB C to USB A cable for charging. Let's start with all the good stuff. This is like the most gorgeous display of a tablet on the market, just eye popping good. The aluminum build is solid, thin, and feels great in your hands. The performance is well suited and great for web surfing, video watching, and listening to music. That's all I can say, just a great media consumption device. If you want productivity, as in lots of typing and lots of tabs surfing the web, get a laptop or desktop. I'm neutral the fact there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this tablet. But the tablet is super thin. I do think that they could have included it and made it as thin as they did and just had a bump on the edge, but really I think that's an injustice to how slim, sleek, and level the back of the device it. Even though there is a bump for the camera, that doesn't seem too noticeable to me because it's not on the edge of the device. All that being said, there is one poor design of the tablet. If you hold it in landscape mode (the way you should with the power button and volume rocker on top) it will block the WiFi signal on the bottom left corner. I typically remedy this by holding it in landscape mode the other way (with the power button and volume rocker on the bottom). This remedy is a little annoying since I have to lift the tablet to change volume, but really not a big deal for me. ... show more

    • No issues with the refurb product
So, I managed to crack the glass on my Tab S5E 10.5 a second time and had a few options. I could have the glass replaced yet again (it's easier and cheaper than if the LCD itself was cracked), buy a newer model replacement or consider a refurb tablet. The S5E model has excellent screen quality that any sub-$400 tablet can't touch and the nearest new product to provide the same level of display quality was > $600. I did not really want to go through the glass replacement cycle a second time so investigated the refurb option. This refurb was about the same price as the glass repair and advertised quality that seemed to meet my expectations. They addressed my biggest fear, a battery with limited remaining life, by stating that the refurb unit has a minimum of 80% battery life left. Received the unit today and it appears to be just as advertised. Unit was defect free with no visible scratches or nicks. I can't comment on the battery life yet but it appears to be healthier than the unit it's replacing. I was able to quickly transfer over my apps and settings and am good to go. Sad goodbye to my old unit, we've been through a lot together but one must move on! ... show more

    • Screen started to separate from the housing after a few days.
Worked great. Then the screen started to separate from the housing. Instead of sending it back, I fixed it myself. Bought some screen adhesive from the local fix it shop. Other than that, it works great. I'd still buy from this seller again.
