Had the TV mounted outdoors for about 6 months over the spring and summer. Mounting location was custom made so TV is entirely recessed into a stone surround with an 8 inch bluestone overhang; TV cover is used when not in use. So, essentially protected from all but the harshest wind driven rain. Within 3-4 months, the screen started to bubble and peal in a circular pattern. The issue got worse so Samsung sent out a repair tech under warranty. The repair tech arrives and tells me that these TVs aren't really meant to get wet at all and that he will replace the screen but it will happen again unless its completely covered under a pergola or pavilion. I show him the Samsung marketing that quotes this TV as being IP55 rated and water resistant. He proceeds to tell me that Samsung marketing for this unit is all BS and that he gets multiple calls per month for people that have the same screen peeling issues even when the TV is fully covered (i.e. it can't handle the outdoor moisture let alone any direct weather). In order to get my screen repaired under my 2 year warranty, they made me sign a document stating that they will not repair my TV for any future damage that "could have potentially been cause by water", essentially rendering my 2 year warranty useless after only 6 months. I will never buy another Samsung product, outdoor or indoor, this company does not stand behind what they sell. Save your money, either buy a cheap indoor TV and use it outdoors for 1 or 2 seasons and trash it or buy a competitor's outdoor TV that might actually be rated for the outdoors - NOTE, SAMSUNG TOOK DOWN THIS REVIEW ON THEIR WEBSITE SO POSTING HERE AS WELL ... show more

Just installed the 65" Terrace full sun in direct sunlight out back on my patio. Picture is absolutely stunning and bright. I love how it adjusts brightness to the ambient lighting condition and the smart TV function works as seamless as any fire TV stick i own. It's exactly what i wanted it to be! Sound from the TV is better than i expected but i'll be using a SONOs weatherproof ARC sound bar to juice it up even more. It's pricey but so far I think it's worth it! ... show more

I would be very careful before buying the Samsung terrace full sun model! I purchased this new model for my pool two years ago and within six months, it had terrible streaking down the front of the television where the film that covered the top of the screen started to come apart, leaving what looked to be dirty streaks, but when you look closely, it’s actually the film deteriorating on the face of the television. I have been fighting for two years now to try and get the TV replaced or repaired but they have refused. I have two other 55 inch partial sun models that are working great. However, I would not advise buying the full sun model. Very disappointing that Samsung does not stand behind this product when it is advertised has being able to withstand direct sun exposure!. ... show more
