  • Excellent Picture with Great Smart TV features Excellent Picture with Great Smart TV features
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
I was looking for an UST projector and really wanted the LG HU85LA projector which is generally considered one of the best UST projectors out there, but was hard pressed to spend that much and settled on this as a more cost effective approach. If you don't care about the smart TV features and are just going to use it with an Apple TV or something, then you'd probably be better off with the VAVA or an Optoma. I like having only one remote though and think Android TV sucks. I was a little worried about color accuracy as it uses a color wheel instead of 3 lasers like the LG, but I honestly don't think I'd be able to tell a difference. The picture looks great. The image quality does suffer a little bit in super dark scenes, especially in the middle of the day, but then a brightly lit scene will come on and just completely blow you away, so for the increase in size I'd say it is worth it. I bought this with the VAVA 100" light rejecting screen which does a great job of making the screen usable in the day time. That being said, the picture looked pretty dang good on my extremely dark green wall in dim light. I've played some turned based games on my switch on the projector and haven't noticed any lag, but that's hardly a great test. If your into twitchy shooters get a TV with a high refresh rate and lower lag. One thing that is annoying with these UST projectors is they need to be low to the ground and don't leave room for a sound bar. Luckily I found a great stand that is low enough and has a space for a sound bar (And can be even lower if you leave off the bottom legs) on WayFair, Wolla TV Stand for TVs up to 65": https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/zipcode-design-wolla-tv-stand-for-tvs-up-to-65-ar2314.html?piid=32507645 Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and have not had any issues with it so far. The picture is bright, colorful, and huge. The interface is easy to use and has almost every app I could want (No NBA TV sadly, but that's an NBA issue as it is missing from most smart TVs). ... show more

  • Pretty good
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
Bought this 2 years ago for 1294$ NEW the item was labeled like new "with damaged package due to handling" they were selling multiple of these at this price i think a truck or shipper damaged several boxes- for this price 2 years AGO I am a happy camper. Can't believe how many people came into my house asking if my projector was a TV. It was the latest tech back then. 2 years later this is still pretty cool but as huge ultra crystal UHD tvs roll out- the just standard 4k is just not good enough. I would rather have a 800$ 100 inch TV. Also the OS is lagggy- & slow- it could be worse (Vizio👎) but it's definitely not a Sony. Overall super cool. Brightness for the price point is not cutting it but for what I paid I'm happy. ... show more

  • Arrived broken
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
Was listed as “unopened,” but the unit had been switched out with a broken model. I ordered this because I was having people over to watch a movie and this put me in a panic to reorder from another vendor. Be careful who you buy from. That said, once I got a working model, this projector solved so many problems. I went from a ceiling mounted component Sony and 4 remotes, to a plug and play system requiring 1 remote. My screen is 110” and all I had to do was place this 14” from the screen. The projection is crystal clear and I couldn’t be happier. Now I need to figure out how to connect my speakers via my receiver. Wish me luck! ... show more

  • Good and bad. Generally a good first attempt with a couple of issues to fix
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
Update Nov 16, 2020: Samsung finally reached out to me and a member of their engineering team who works on these projectors called. Clearly knowledgeable. We are working on the focus issue and how to resolve, if possible. Seen some improvement but still not "perfect". That said the LSP7T is far better than the Optoma P1 or P2 and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone vs any of the other sub-4k USTs on the market. Update Nov 6, 2020: Now going on 4 hours spent trying to find a Samsung technical representative that handles these projectors. Spoke to over 10 reps, transferred every time and none say they know anything about these UST projectors. Constant run around and there is NO WAY to reach anyone other than overseas who reads from a script. Original review: I received the projector on October 24th. So far the experience has been pretty good but there are a few issues that I have with the projector that Samsung needs to address before I can rate this thing "5 stars" for the money. First the good: 1. Vivid picture with good colors for a projector. I can compare this to the Optoma P1 and P2 and say that it has better picture quality imo, not by a huge amount but enough to give it an edge. 2. Software platform is rock solid as you would expect from Samsung. Again, comparing to Optoma it's a night and day difference. 3. Connection/HDMI stability is also super rock solid with no issues whatsoever on a variety of sources. In my configuration I'm using a Denon AVC8500H connected to a CAAVO Control Center (and also with the Caavo removed) with multiple sources tested at 4k 60hz and lower resolutions: Xbox One X, Nvidia Shield Pro, Fire TV Stick 4k and Cube, Nintendo Switch and W10 PC with Geforce 2080ti at 4k 60hz. All ran without a hitch. Great! 4. Used with an Elite Screens CLR (not the 2 or 3, just the CLR). Great combo. Daytime (slightly light controlled room) and night both looked great (with nighttime obviously looking fantastic). 5. Fan noise is non-existent. Completely silent. 6. Projector turns on and shuts down perfectly with CEC control. 7. Start up time is in seconds (haven't directly timed it but I would put it around 10 seconds). Very good imo. Cons: 1. Focus issues at the corners and edges from mid to top. It's enough to be distracting on content with text, lines or other details where sharpness is important. I'm working on contacting Samsung about the issue. 2. Some shadow crushing in live content especially in scenes that are generally darkly lit. Not "bad" but as with the focus enough to be distracting. Could be due to calibration but I think it's the nature of the projector. It is not enough for me to dislike the projector it's just something I wish was better. Overall I like the projector more and more as I use it, especially when comparing to the Optoma units I had previously (the P1 and P2). However the focus issue needs addressed and imo should not be present in a $3300 projector. I will update once I hear back from Samsung. Lastly I may move up to the LSP9T at some point depending on what I hear back from Samsung on the focus issue and how much better the blacks/shadows might be on the more expensive unit. ... show more

  • Awesome Projector
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
This projector is awesome!! Like, super awesome. All of my other TV's are Samsung, huge plus that I can turn on this unit and it works just like the others, choose Amazon/Spectrum/Movies/other apps. Set up was super easy. I'm not sure how big my screen is (110" maybe). It fit perfectly with only adjusting the front two legs. Picture is super clean (better than my old projector). Considering I don't know how to set up anything in my media room, and all the components have been sitting there for years (my ex took half of the system), it was a huge bonus that all I had to do was plug this in. I can't say enough how ecstatic I am with this purchase. Price - is not cheap, but if I bought a high-end projector, and hired someone to set the system up, probably having to upgrade other components, and waited for everything to get set up properly, I probably would've spent the same amount of $ anyway, and a lot more time getting it set up. Hopefully it will eventually work with maybe some wireless speakers if I upgrade my wall speakers/components, but for the time being I'm delighted. ... show more

  • Review of 120 and 130. 130 is amazing
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
its good. Gaming does not have noticeable delay, but alot of these things are broken. Read the reviews. Mine came to my home and the 2nd hdmi port loses signal. Now the sound keeps cutting out. Samsung need to work the bugs out. I herd the 130 one is better built. I like this projector alot and I'm going to see if the 130 is better. If so im keeping it. But alot of them are defective. Be aware. Up date. I bought the 130. I got it used because 6,500 was just too much. All in all after taxes I paid 6000. Still high. Now. The three laser will blow you away. I've always wanted a projector that just did not have that washed out look. I want the colors to be as vivid as an oled or a qled. This thing is way more vivid than an oled. imagine having a laser pointer and point it at the wall. Those are your colors. You have laser colors. Deep vivid saturated blues, red, greens purple and the black are deep. Im keeping it. Now there are issues. The hdmi port has not gone out but the sound has stopped once in a while in the middle of a movie. The sound on the 130 is incredible. Oh my gosh this thing as speakes. Way way louder then the 120. I have gone through projector and projector to find the right one. I notice those small things that normal customers don't. There is no ghosting when playing games. The input lag is good. I dont know what it is but its very very reasonable. If you owned the optimal p2, its better then that one. I was impressed by the p2 as well but the game input lag was ridiculous. Oh and the Epson ls5000. Thise colors are sooo washed out but game lag is almost not even there. The ls3000 has better colors but you won't get a 4k picture. Its pretty crisp though and the colors are good. Not as good as the optima p2. You want amazing looking colors deep black crisp picture and a banging sound system the samsung is it. Its good. Samsung needs to iron out the kinks though. Once they do. Wow just wow. ... show more

  • My experience with 7t
Size: Single Laser Style: Projector
Have been using the 7t model for a month in my apartment living room. Even paired it with a good soundbar. Had to return the soundbar last week as the sound from the projector is very good for most viewing. Have paired it with my Bluetooth headset for a more refined sound experience. I project it on to my white wall (No ALR screen yet) and it is very good even when it is not fully dark. Note, all projector images will be washed out if you have bright ambient light. The most important thing about this projector is it is super easy to setup, just connect to power socket and internet and you are good to go! Samsung App Store has all the major apps for streaming that you can download. I have now connected my cable box as well (watch mainly local games) If you are wondering 7t vs 9t, would recommend 7t - with the price difference of 2.5k to 3K you can get a great ALR screen and have money left for a sound system as well! Off course, there are cheaper Chinese models with greater specs on paper than Samsung, it all comes down to App Store and user experience. I find Samsung products to be more reliable and closer. Using this projector is lot like their TV and tablet/Phone experience. ... show more

  • Nice package to use instead of TV set.
Size: Triple Laser Style: Projector
Nice build quality. Nice Picture. Works decent with games, though lag is noted when not in game mode on fast shooter games. Picture colors and tone is much better in person than all reviews on the web. The only real complaint is no fan filter noted. No lens shift to side. Samsung canned customer service sucks real bad. Screens for this type of projector can be VERY EXPENSIVE. ... show more
