So I purchased this to replace a much more expensive system. I received the order quickly, installed myself with the included kit, and was up and running quickly. However, I had errors immediately. Contact the company and got a quick reply. They figured out the board and bad and arranged a replacement to be shipped out which I had in two days. New unit was installed and has been working like a charm for months. Easy to use, and simple to install. The app is very basic but does what is needed. Recommend as a replacement or for someone switching to salt.

6/24/26 Update from 1 star to 5. Got it replaced and it works beautifully. Water is crystal clear. Original Response: Great design, love that it can be controlled by an app, but it does not produce chlorine. We double checked the install according to the manufacturers instructions to insure the proper flow and it’s been running for over a week. Did a water test with my pool company and everything was balanced but there’s no chlorine. After adding the recommended shock and letting it run on turbo the water is still cloudy. Tested it again, no chlorine.

the first month it kept chorine levels good. now at the 2nd to 3rd month im running it at 100% and test strips show low chorine at best. the price was good but I will need to buy another soon.not a very long live

This is the third salt chlorinator on my pool. The first unit lasted 'til just beyond the warranty period😒. This Troxlly closely resembles the big name original unit. Installation was easy, unit powered up as expected. After a week in service the chlorine level is good. Wifi connection was no problem. Three year or 15k hour warranty will be the key. So far it looks like a good deal.

AZ pool, I have struggled and spent a lot of money over 20 years with our salt pool. When I first converted to salt chlorination, the options were slim. I eventually had to switch to a Hayward system and had nothing but expenses with it. The Cells would barely last a year. The flow sensor would break. AZ has Super HARD water and even though the system had a reverse polarization cleaning cycle, it did not help. The cell chip constantly stopped working. The control boards in the control panel stopped working and everything was $800-$1200 to fix. I would take the cell out over the winter and use a bypass tube to save the cell and also used expensive Cell Protect pool chemicals and nothing worked. I was about to just give up on salt chlorination and use regular chemical chlorine when I came across this Troxlly on Amazon. Pros: 1. All-in-one design, I was able to get rid of the control box, flow sensor, and my pool timer (new pumps have their own timers) 2. App - love the app, no guessing if it is working. Easy to connect to phone and setup. 3. cell plates seem to be coated with something better than Hayward plates because after 1 month, there is no scale buildup. 4. Customer service, I emailed Troxlly about a bypass tube and they responded immediately, they have one, I had to purchase it, but they shipped it immediately. Great customer service. I really hope it lasts. I still plan on taking the system out for winter and use the bypass tube to save on usage of the cell. Cons: This is not really a con for everyone, but I had an electrician come our and remove my old Hayward system and timer box and just rewire all my pool equipment and had them add an outdoor outlet. The Troxlly comes with a regular 3 prong plug and my Hayward was hard wired to the timer box. I actually like that I did this because everything is better, they buried the electrical and just cleaned it all up. My Hayward cell was installed vertically, and I wanted the Troxlly installed horizontally. I ha a pool person come and re-plumb the PVC to make a horizontal install. It took less than 30 minutes.

So far so good, this comes with all the adapters for 1.5 or 2 inch piping. It is a great value, we used it for an above ground pool, it was easy to install, I love the touchscreen and the ability to see the salt level. It seems to be well made.

only been running a couple of days so far. It was slightly shorter than my Pentair so I had to do a little pvc work but nothing major. I took everything out of my Pentair power control box to use for getting this power supply out of the weather. I also cut the plug off and wired directly to the power source that is routed through my timer so that the chlorinator is only receiving power when the timer kicks on my pump. I love the clear housing so I can see the flow and the flow switch. I'm still figuring out the settings but so far so good. I didn't hook to Wifi but we might do that once we figure out all the settings and optimal operating levels.
