So far this salt chlorinator has been wonderful. The instructions on the plumbing were better than for the device itself but eventually I figured it out. If you use the app you can only control it from there it seems to override the manual buttons on the device. But once you set it up in the app it's on autopilot. You can control the chlorine production amount with a dial in the app from 0 to 100. It's very easy. It turns on and off automatically when your pump turns on and off. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and will see how the longevity is.

So far, so good. It took about 30min to install and setup and cost me about $20 in new parts to replace my old system. Iv got it running 100% for the first 24hrs and plan to check levels and drop it does to 50%. I love the diagnostics in the app. I’ll report back after running it for about a month. UPDATE It’s not generating chlorine, and the pool is green once again. I’ve reached out to them since I did register it for the warranty, but have not heard back yet. This unit is either defective or the saltwater system does not produce chlorine at a level that’s useful.

I’m two weeks into using the Troxlly Pool Chlorinator, and so far, I’m impressed—especially considering what I paid. I replaced an aging Pentair IC40 that had stopped producing chlorine (confirmed via its own diagnostic mode). I went with the Troxlly for three main reasons: Price – One of the most affordable 40,000-gallon rated systems on Amazon. Clear Cell Tube – I’ve been wanting to see actual water flow in my setup, and this unit delivers that visual feedback. App Support – While the app (Smart Life) is pretty basic, it gives me the info I care about: water temperature, chlorine PPM, and whether the system detects water flow. It’s even supposed to show errors over time. Setup Experience Setup was fairly straightforward if you’re comfortable with basic PVC plumbing. One small hiccup: the Troxlly unit is smaller than the Pentair IC40, and the unions aren’t compatible—so this wasn’t a direct swap. Another plus: the power setup. Pentair uses a proprietary power center, but the Troxlly plugs in via a standard power brick (like a laptop charger). No special electrical work needed. Performance When I first installed the unit, my pool had virtually no chlorine. After running the Troxlly in boost mode for 24 hours and then continuously at a lower level (my filter runs 24/7), my chlorine levels are right where they should be. That’s a win. App & Warranty Notes Pairing the unit with the Smart Life app took me about three tries, but I got it done. I already use this app for other inexpensive smart devices, so it fits right in. A potential downside: no clear warranty information. There’s nothing listed in the Amazon product page, nothing in the box, and the manufacturer’s website is... well, not confidence-inspiring. Most links don’t work, and content is repeated across pages. That said, there is at least a mention of spare parts (though again, broken links). So you might be able to get replacement parts by contacting them directly. Final Thoughts I’m cautiously optimistic. If the 15,000-hour lifespan is accurate, and my pool season runs ~2,300 hours/year, I could get about six seasons from this system. At this price point, that works out to about $100/year, which is a solid value. Even if I only get 3–4 seasons, I’ll still be happy. ** UPDATE ** Not sure if this is from the reviews so far, but Troxlly seems to have a warranty page right now on their website, with a tag line of "Important Update - June 2025" This page indicates that the device comes with a 3 year warranty, and has a place for you to register your purchase (must give amazon order number). This information is not posted in the included materials, you need to go to Troxlly's website. Its their name with the dot com after.

Excellent product. It took our 15.000 gallon pool from zero chlorine to fully chlorinated in about 48 hours. it is quiet and efficient. The single piece inline chlorinator is great for a clean look. Much better than the larger 2 piece set up. It is easy to use and utilizes easy to read symbols to set it up.

I replaced α worn out pentair ic40 with the Troxlly. Installation was easy since i used the same spot my old unit was located, I just cut the pipes and added on the pieces they provided in the box with pvc glue. The next day it was up and running! I had some questions for support and they were very fast to respond, even on α sunday. Super happy so far, it was α great deal for α chlorine generator.

So far so good or even better after dumping close to 280 lbs of salt in my pool- I cannot believe that after 3 weeks my pool has been spotless with no indication whatsoever of algae growth anywhere. My pool is solar powered with panels of 1600 watts and my pump only uses 600 but changing to salt water has really been more than worth it, I live in Arizona so the sun powers my pool pump but this little gem has kept me from buying Chlorine tabs since then and it's magical in a way

I took a chance on this one b/c I read some good reviews BUT you pay for what you get! Unfortunately, mine didn't work as advertised. First of all , they advertise "US-MADE TITANIUM CELL" but the box clearly states "MADE IN CHINA". I have a 15K gallon pool and this thing barely generates chlorine amounts as advertised. I worry b/c I live in Florida and the warranty states that they won't cover "Extreme Temperatures" so would my warranty be denied? I have had a salt system for years so I am very familiar with the way these things work. I had a clear cell before which I absolutely love so you can see the electrochemistry in action but this one puts out very little chlorine as compared to what I had before. I should have trusted my instincts. LESSON LEARNED!!!! Product is on its way back to Amazon!
