This unit took care of a problem I had with a small 100 gallon fountain tank. I could not use chlorine and this salt water generator kept the water sparkling clean for about 5-6 months.     • Update Resolution (10/26/2023) Two Weeks - No Longer Powers On
10/26/2023 Update - Unit was replaced by the seller, so far there has been zero issues running it for 5-8 hours a day depending on chlorine levels. Very happy with the quick response from the seller, updated to 4 stars and if unit continues to function as normal I'll update to 5 stars in a month as it works as expected and looks like we just drew the unlucky straw. Previous - Set it up for about an hour on each day, after two weeks I bumped up the time yesterday. Checked the unit today and it no longer powers on at all, sadly because we were delayed in the setup the return window closed on Sept 30th. ... show more

    • Just the ticket to convert a SPA to salt use.
Now I no longer need to be checking with test strips the tub's PH etc. et al. Very simple to install, well written instructions. Now I can clear out my chemical cabinet of at least 10 different balancing potions. It should now run as trouble free as my adjacent swimming pool!

Worked last summer. Plugged it in today and its broken. Salt level lights dont work and no bubbles from the submerged unit. Ill try another brand.

    • Power cord is too short
It seems to be making chlorine so far, will update review if that changes. However, the power cord is absurdly short for practical use. It is a four foot power cord, most electric code does not allow an outlet within 5 feet of a hot tub. The product manual also says do not use an extension cord to reduce the risk of electric shock. Power cord should be at least 10 feet for most hot tub setups. What are we supposed to do? ... show more
