I bought this in May and didn't hook it up till June. Worked good I guess for a couple of weeks and then the water started turning green and a slime built up around the hot tub. All this time the box was showing a green light. Unplugged the unit and drained, clean and refilled the hot tub. Started the unit again, now no lights are coming on at all. Unplugged it and let it sit for over 24 hours, plugged it back in and nothing. $170.00 down the drain. Would not recommend. I have owned other one that lasted for 3-4 years, no problem. This one went out just over a month.

Works well but won't last. Purchased twice. 1st time salt cell stopped working within a few weeks, 2nd time cell lasted apx a year. Was cleaned as directed and company doesn't sell replacement cell.

I’ve bought about three of these. They seem to last for about 12 months, but it keeps the water sparkling clean without any use of harsh chemicals or odors so well worth the money. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has a hot tub/Jacuzzi.

10/26/2023 Update - Unit was replaced by the seller, so far there has been zero issues running it for 5-8 hours a day depending on chlorine levels. Very happy with the quick response from the seller, updated to 4 stars and if unit continues to function as normal I'll update to 5 stars in a month as it works as expected and looks like we just drew the unlucky straw. Previous - Set it up for about an hour on each day, after two weeks I bumped up the time yesterday. Checked the unit today and it no longer powers on at all, sadly because we were delayed in the setup the return window closed on Sept 30th.

Now I no longer need to be checking with test strips the tub's PH etc. et al. Very simple to install, well written instructions. Now I can clear out my chemical cabinet of at least 10 different balancing potions. It should now run as trouble free as my adjacent swimming pool!

Product worked like it was supposed to for seven months then stopped working. Says low salt and won’t work, but salt level is good. Seems to be a common problem from reading other reviews. I need it to work longer for the price and I won’t purchase this brand again.

We are just over a year and it completely died. Worked well when it worked. When we received it a year ago it was super easy to set up. Literally plug and play. The other salt ionizers on the market are quit expensive. We have hard water and I am not convinced a more expensive product would last longer with that being said. I would say for the price point it's worth a try.
