  • Why buy woodpeckers when you can buy this.
I wanted to buy an affordable option compared to woodpeckers or another expensive brand for measuring tools and am unbelievably impressed with Saker. I have their rulers too and they’re awesome. Super sturdy, zero flex to the metal. All markings are clean, precise and accurate. I genuinely can’t see why you’d need anything more than this. ... show more

  • Hard to find angles and lock in.
I just wanted a 90* angle easy to find easy to lock so I could easily mark cut lines / I find it difficult to find 90 and very hard to lock in place - it’s a good straight line guide

  • It is well made.
I can easily measure angles at the ridge and eaves of a roof, or angles on floor tiles.

  • Today's New T-Square
I started years ago in drafting class using a wood T-Square. It was just a T with no angle adjustments. This new aluminum T-Square provides not only 90 degrees, but also various angle adjustments. Plus a means to help hold your pencil. I ordered the T-13 and love it.

  • A well built tool, with extra features that make it a five star win
This tool filled a niche in my tool set. I have a typical 4' T-square, and I have the usual 9/12 and 12/24 squares and speed squares and machinist's squares, etc. What I really needed was something in the 15-20" range that was ADJUSTABLE with definite angle stops at the obvious places. It needed to be sturdy and substantial, and not prone to corrosion. This Saker sliding aluminum T square fits the bill. It is built using a thick and durable red anodized aluminum stock. The machining is clean and accurate and the scales and markings are deeply embossed into the surface and then color painted in a bright white. They are very readable. The device uses a precision machined post as the rotational point for the square beam. A hardened divit is installed on the bottom side of the beam, and the head has recesses which correspond to the typical cardinal angles, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90. Thus one can move quickly between them by simply loosening the setting thumbscrew fitting the divit into the next preset and retightening the set screw. It is simple, reliable and repeatable. Angles in between can also be accomplished, though of course there is no simple means to replicate them. This device came with a marking system that depends on a specific marking tool (supplied). This tool is basically a mechanical pencil with large leads (also supplied, in black and red). The nose of the marking tool fits into an opening on a sliding receptacle built into the beam of the unit. This keeps the line perpendicular and aligned at all times. I'm still getting used to using it, but I can see the merit of it for many marking situations. Of course, one may also mark along the beam edges, as normal. One benefit of the central marker is that one can accurately coordinate the mark to the anticipated corner of the piece, based on the true center of the beam. This might be helpful in some situations. The scribe tool is plastic, but seems reasonably substantial. They supply a number of replacement leads in two colors, and they look like fairly standard refill dimensions, so that part of the system seems suportable. Sharpening them is another matter, though it would seem to be a fairly simple if tedious process, as it is with any large lead mechanical pencil. The precision that is gained from this design is worth the sacrifice, and of course one will reserve this particular custom marker for use only with this tool, for obvious reasons. I really like the attractive red finish. It is easy to spot and easy to keep track of. The extra beefy material dimensions are appealing as well, and I'm anxious to give a real workout to the innovative marking system. At first glance it looks like a winner. I'm giving this one a solid Five Star - recommended rating. Good for anyone doing small to medium precision cabinetry, metal work, or anything that requires precision approaching a machinist's square, but in sizes more common to wood cabinetry work. No cons observed. ... show more

  • Better For A DIY Person Than A Professional/Close Enough For Me But Maybe Not For Thee
For me it was difficult to get precise when adjusting length and keeping everything square. I know my skill level isn't that of a professional. I live by the "that is what trim is for" skill set. Overall this is great for me but for someone where precision matters this may not be it. Could just be my lack of skill using this? :) ... show more
