This is not greatly expandable, like the soft collapsible hoses, but it is not stiff, unwieldy, and set size, like a traditional hose. This hose has a rubber exterior, which makes it appear more durable, but still expands somewhat under water pressure. I love the fully collapsible hoses, but they are not durable or long lived (I have had two burst and one spring a leak in just the last month). This hose appears more durable, and bills itself as puncture resistant. While I expect it to last longer than collapsible hoses, puncture resistant remains to be tested, as it has not had an encounter with my rose bushes yet. If it does not survive that test, I will revisit this review and down grade the stars. I hate the traditional hoses. They are unwieldy, get kinks easily, and are generally not pleasant to use. This item so far has not kinked, and is easier to put up because it handles much easier than traditional hoses. The brass fittings are leak free, and the hose has a brass off/on lever to make it convenient for switching out hose end attachments without having to turn the water off/on at the source. The only thing I really have to criticize is the spray nozzle attachment. It is all plastic, and does not have a flow adjuster off/on lever like many other nozzles. The wire to hold the spray handle in the on position, is cumbersome. I do like the spray patterns though, so it does have that redeeming feature. I will most likely change out the nozzle to a better quality spray wand. But given that I have never seen a high quality nozzle come with a hose, and the quality of the hose itself, this is not even something to knock a star off of the review. All in all, I am happy with this item, and I really hope it lives up to my expectations for long term daily use.

If you want a standard garden hose this may not be for you. It’s very light weight. I have a hose that I use for car washing, attaching to a pressure washer that is better than this. This hose though is very light weight and easy to move around and is perfect for watering a garden or flower bed. It also has a shut off valve at the nozzle end which is a great idea and makes changing nozzles much easier. I think it comes down to how you intend to use. If you want something with power to hose down a car or driveway with some force - this may not cut it. I’ve attached pictures to show the difference in size of this and a standard garden hose.

This hose is a real blessing for my wife who wanted a hose near her herb garden. I didn't want a hose at this location because a wall mounted hose reel would have been difficult to attach and a hose reel on the ground would have blocked access to my crawl space and storage area under our deck. This lightweight compact hose solved our problem. I would have rated it higher except for the fact that it doesn't coil up nicely as do some of the ones advertised on TV. But if you're looking for a 50' hose that you can easily put away, this certainly does the job. I didn't mount the holder since this easily rests on top of the faucet.

This is a great deal! First, 50 foot hoses are hard to find and when you find one, it weighs about 50 pounds if it is anywhere near durable. Then, the sprayer. It's like they threw that in for free. It is a basic sprayer and has become the typical one these days, but for anyone who hasn't purchased anything in a while, you're going to be thrilled with this sprayer. It does everything you can think of. Goes from a light misting to powerful jet stream with a simple twist and a few notches away. Bam. Done. So easy to operate. The weight makes this hose usable by anyone - even an old grandma watering her flowers far away from the house. She won't have to carry a watering can back and forth anymore. Just get her this hose and show her how to set the sprayer on mist and let her see what it's like. She can drag it out and put it up daily with no hassle or strain at all. Great hose and sprayer!

I have a 4-way splitter in my garden to soaker hoses that I have throughout raised beds and defined areas of my family vegetable garden. I needed a short section of hose that would be a solid length from the splitter to a soaker hose under the cucumber trellises. This looked like a good possibility. The Good: -The hose is quite soft and pliable. It came out of the package and laid flat immediately. It was easy to snake it around the beds. -The hose comes with sealing tape and extra washers. -The hanger and the spray nozzle are a plus. -The is a great hose for the light-duty purpose I have for the hose. The Bad: -Nothing This product met my expectations.

At first sight, this hose looked shorter than 50 feet and it certainly is much lighter than most hoses of that length. The beauty of this one is that once we turned the water on, the hose extended to at least 50 feet (if not longer). It comes equipped with the necessary washers already in place and with an additional three washers as replacements if needed. The end of the hose which attaches to other items has a lever to stop water flow - that's a huge benefit! The spray nozzle has multiple modes and is easy to turn to get to a new spray pattern. We tested this hose by doing spring clean-up of our back patio. The water pressure with the included nozzle was great at getting much of the dirt. Then we flipped the lever to "off", removed the nozzle, and connected the hose to our power washer. Once switched to off, all water flow was stopped completely and we were able to attach the hose to the power washer. We turned the lever back on and deep cleaned the cement. This hose is high quality, lightweight, and easy to use.
