I was skeptical if this incubator would work being this was my first incubator. I was attempting to hatch Muscovy ducks which is extremely hard. Out of 7 eggs, two didn’t make it, but two hatched successfully. I have three eggs to go. I love the turner as well as the candling light. I wish there was a way to control the humidity. I went exactly by the directions that came with the unit. Very pleased!

This incubator has some positive and negative aspects. First it is easy to use and set up. Part of the reason for that is there is not much functionality that can be changed (such as how frequently the eggs are turned, humidity level, etc.). While it worked ok and most of my eggs hatched I would probably recommend other incubators for the following reasons: 1. Eggs need different levels of humidity depending upon the stage of their development. (i.e. increased humidity as it gets closer to hatching). This incubator has an external water source that can be attached to it but no way to set a specific humidity level. The levels in my incubator tended to be higher than desired. Most incubators will let you set a higher or lower humidity level. 2. The egg turner functioned as it was designed but not as well as egg turners that keep going in a circle. The reason is the eggs were turned but not 360 degrees (for the larger eggs) because of the limited path of the turning device (it slides back and forth). 3. Egg candler: For most incubators (not just this model) I have found the built in candler to be too dim to actually candle any of my darker eggs (for white eggs it seems to work decently). I ended up purchase a really powerful small flashlight that I use now for the candler. So while this incubator will do an 'ok' job of hatching your eggs, for the price I think other models have better features.

As a newbie to hatching eggs I am excited to have this incubator! My son got me started on the joys of bantam chicken pets but there aren’t any available where I live and I need to order eggs and hatch them myself. This incubator has everything I need once the eggs arrive. It even turns the eggs and has an egg candler so I will know if the eggs are fertile and can remove the ones that aren’t. I have just been waiting for the weather to get warmer since we live far north and the tiny chicks can’t stay in a bathroom indefinitely. There are instructions included and other reviews by experienced egg hatchers have given me additional information about what to watch out for in the process.

So it works and it's easy to use, but my complaint is trying to adjust the humidity with the automatic water feeder. I wish the top had some kind of air hole or place to open a small spot for humidity release like other incubators have. I even removed the water feeder, kept having to open it and the humidity level would not go down below 74ish percent which is too high for just starting chicken eggs. Maybe there was something I missed in the instructions but I'm giving it 4 stars because the turning function works great, the automatic water feeder is a really nice option to have and it seems to be a high quality machine!

This is very cheap and temperatures and humidity levels are off bad. We would get condensation in it at 40% humidity but if it said 65% it wouldn’t have it. We did put in our own Thermometer and it was about 10 to 15 Degrees off

The humidity does not seem to work . Also hard to tell if the program is working. No instructions on setting a program or how the humidity is supposed to work.

I really like a couple of things about this one versus some others I’ve tried. A) the housing is clear, so you can easily see your hatchlings, egg turns, and any chicks you leave in it as a brooder. B) the water bottle for the humidity being completely separate and attached via a tube is nice because it allows you to finely control the humidity without ever lifting the lid. C) the egg-turning test button lets you ensure your eggs are turning, again without ever having to lift the housing. The controls and settings are all accurate and stable, and it does the job of turning the eggs when it’s time. I do wish it has a setting to control the egg-turning timer, but every 2 hours is a good, safe setting for basically every form of poultry.
