One of the absolute best decisions I made when I purchased my new bed. I had a baby at the time and I wanted to ensure my new bed stayed new. I know I wanted to be double sure and ended up putting several layers of matress protectors on. This one was the top layer. It makes for a great topper. Fluffy soft durable my only issue which for me was not an issue because I have several protectors on at all most all times. This is not a waterproof barrier. It will keep small amounts of water off but anything over a few ounces of liquid you have to move fast to stop it from making it through to your mattress. I was relieved to have the bottom protector on my mattress still. But this is a great topper and not a bad price. Had to take a star because it allows liquid to make it to the mattress. ... show more

I like the encasement of all sides of the mattress. It can be a little difficult to get on if your mattress is heavy. I need to wash all my linens weekly due to a dust mite allergy, so to get around the issue of putting on and taking off the pad every week, I also purchased a pad that fits like a fitted sheet to easily put on and off while leaving the encasement pad in place. What works well is the dependable waterproof barrier that has passed every test - from water spills to bedwetting incidents. The liquid beads up on the surface and wipes away easily without any seepage through to the mattress below. This protection gives genuine peace of mind for preserving our mattress investment while dealing with childhood accidents.
